Once I activate my receiver and get an account number can I sign up for paperless billing?

Can I make subscription changes via my account?

What is the limit to the online account information?

    Thanks

Yes, you can manage your billing via your DirecTV.com account.

You can make subscription additions via your DirecTV.com account, but you'll need to call them to cancel anything.

Not sure what you mean by "limits to the online account information".

Thanks. By limits I mean what I can and can't do online. Adding and deleting programming I guess.

Thanks I found Diane :hurah: and I think that tutorial has most things that I can do.

Seems you can change your package, according to Diane and the tutorial.

You can upgrade or downgrade your base package online, but some of the other downgrades can only be done by phone.

You can call in and they can send you an email with information on Directv.com functions.

Probably because they want to talk you out of cancelling anything :)

Bingo! They also want to make it less convenient so maybe you won't even bother calling and not downgrade at all. Or at least take longer to do it.

    Great marketing. Crummy customer service.
