i am thinking of switching to dish. but i am wondering if they also lost nat geo and the other channels that were apart of the contract dispute...

oh and can i add a wally box with a dome style dish along with the hopper 3 or would that be a no go

According to NYDutch, it's a no go on the dome dishes with the Hoppers. You'll need to use a 1000.2 with either WA (119,110, 129) or Eastern Arc (61.5, 72.7) LNBs (ideally - if you're in an RV you would have both).

Nat Geo is still on Dish.

I never heard Nat Geo was in a dispute, anyway...

The Hopper 3 requires either a hybrid lnb or a DPH-42 switch with the dish pro lnb, so it is not as simple as just plugging in the H3. The wally works with either the hybrid or the pro lnb, IIRC, since it at max only handles two sat tuners.

The H3 uses multi-band stacking to be able to potentially deliver 16 channels from 2 or 3 satellites to the receiver simultaneously.

While Disney & AT&T were in negotiations for Disney, ABC & ESPN channels and locals. Disney is also in negotiations with Dish for the former FX/Nat Geo networks they acquired from old Fox. The latest known updates with these discussions are:
So it looks like Disney is working with providers to avoid blackouts when it comes to their content that stayed under the Disney umbrella. Disney's negotiations with both providers is hard to follow because unlike past disputes with a joint PR message from both side neither has occurred for these two Disney disputes.
