If anybody is interested. What new and exciting things will be talked about tonight?
I tried to watch those for a while after they first started, but all I ever heard was:
Charley: "HD, HD, HD, Locals, locals, local HD, HD Locals"
The Other Guy: "Locals, Locals, HD, HD HD Locals, Local HD"
Charley: "Locals, HD, HD HD HD Locals, Locals HD more money, more money, added fees"
The Other Guy: "Locals Locals Locals HD HD HD, added fees, More Money, More Money"
Then they'd add in some poorly produced video that basically said the same thing for another 10 minutes.
I can't remember ever hearing anything important.
What we really need to hear is Tivo/DISH are in negotiations and will soon ... But we are more likely to either not hear about DVR's or to hear that Dish has won the latest round, the granting of the stay, and will win the future rounds.
If DVR news is discussed it won't be "we are closer to having to shut down the DVR function on millions of you." It'll be about the 922.
If they talk about HD it would be nice to hear about PBS HD, BBCA HD and AMC HD. I really am going to be irritable if I read tomorrow they talked excitedly about TCM HD.
Maybe charlie will announce he bought Tivo. That way he wont have to keep paying lawyers and then the lawsuit would be settled. Naw. Really announce MSNBC in Hd on June 29,2009. Mention the hd channels added since the last chat and fuel sd. Probably will mention team summit .
Probably a lot ... few, if any, will happen ... but a lot!
Charlie like his home brew DVRS. I like them too.
This could be the last chance to see Charlie in SD after they start using the Voom auction equipment to produce in HD from now on. http://www.dbstalk.com/showthread.php?p=2123288#post2123288
It is weird that 101HD doesn't show the Charlie Chat.
Hope like hell he doesn't "promise" it tonight. :nono2:
I wonder if he'll talk about the Fisher deal.
With all the other things going on, they have probably forgotten completely about Fisher.
I bet they don't talk about MLB Network (which is the only thing keeping me from getting on board the Dish boat right now). BBC America HD launch perhaps?
