We thought the show improved from the pilot (which we did like).
The flow was pretty good, but we still had to suspend belief that they wouldn't have dispatched dozens of law enfourcement out once they relized the pattern of what was going on.
Interesting ending, how they let the guy and his wife just go... and offered them a honeymoon basically for their assistance.
But the show does has some promise, but the writers have to hide the real plot/point a little bit more. My wife and I figured it out as soon as they showed the second car.
I liked the concept of the guy going back for his vehicles until I found out he hd money hidden in them. I thought it was better to have him simply wanting to get back what was his. He didn't sell those cars ... so he wanted the new owners to pay him for his property. The hidden money angle cheapened it for me.
But it was a chase ... letting the guy who interfered go with a reward was an odd touch.
Canceled my SL 15min into the second episode. I already have "In Plain Sight" for a female marshal show.
I'm afraid I do not get the comparison? Other than the fact both shows are based on Federal Marshalls, they are not even remotely similar.
IPS revolves around Witness Protection and some sort of life lesson that evolves back around to Mary and her family.
Chase is pure action and involves chasing some "Most Wanted" character. No witness protection, and so far, no life lessons circling back around to the main character.
That is all I meant. IMO, Plain Sight has been getting good ratings and so they made a knock off tough chick marshall show to try to catch that buzz.
Not deep thought on my part, just my first reaction, and I lost interest in it.
Not a bad episode but a bit of a hommage to No Country For Old Men. The guy who found the money even looked like Josh Brolin.
I've decided this show isn't making it for me. Just isn't grabbing me, the main characters aren't interesting me, stories aren't doing it.
I'm having the same problem with Hawaii 50, so that has been dropped as well.
And #3 started hommaged Gran Torino ...
Are there original ideas in Hollywood?
Bodies drop in this show quicker then they do in an old Charlie Chan movie!
