It looks like overstock stopped carrying the HR24, where is it the cheapest still?

How could an HR24 be considered overstock? Just curious.

It's just a name. They don't sell yahoos at yahoo or bays at eBay. It used to mean something but it doesn't really anymore.

I purchased another of mine from Walt's on Amazon. Shipped very quickly from DSI (an electronics distributor) here in Dallas. Basically overnight shipping. $169+14 shipping was the cheapest in stock I could find.

Each hr24 you buy, do you have to add 2 years to your directv contract? I really want one but I just became a directv customer yesterday (hr22 given) and I cannot figure out how to lease one of those because I am already a new customer and can not sign up through Walt's or whomever...

    Bainbridge...
Two years from the date added, but not cumulative so you wouldn't have much of a penalty.

You don't sign up through Walts. Since you are already a customer, you buy it and hook it up then call Directv to activate.

I really don't care about the 2 year commitment. I live in a place where we don't even have cable, so satellite is the only choice and for me that choice is Directv.

Where else would I buy my yahoo's and bays from otherwise. Anyways last I knew newegg has end and I think people get then from solid signal. Best way is to call DTV and get them to commit to a credit then order. In my case I got lucky and because of doing upgrades ended up getting 2 Hr24's all the equip and install for &145 total but YMMV.

I've gotten several receivers for free. In fact, I have a new one coming next week, and I'm going to call and make sure it's an HR24 :)

How do you know this? Directv retention people said it wouldn't work.
