    Thanks all for your comments.

Things were going great up until yesterday morning. Some punk decided he wanted the strobe lights so at 4:37am, he came up on the l lawn and took them. I was so pissed. He didn't just take the strobes but he also took the stakes that held them in the ground along with the C9 light sockets and everything. What a little turd.

The IP camera I have pointing out the front window takes a picture once every minute. The quality isn't very good but at least it's something. It shows him bending over and taking the lights and then taking them back to his car. I filed a police report in the hopes that if they catch this guy maybe for another crime, the strobe lights will also still be in his possession.

The good news is that I was able to order more strobes. I will get them today and have everything fully back up and running tonight. I'm not going to let this little creep take down my display.

Attached are pictures of the crime and what the strobes looked like before he took them.

Having those stolen has always been a concern because securing them isn't easy. All of the other items in the display are all connected by a metal chain and locked. The strobes were the only items I couldn't do that with. Instead I tie strapped them to the extension cord several times. Apparently the thief knew this so he brought along a pair of cutters. I have had those strobes out on the lawn for 3 years running and never had a problem until now. The obvious solution is that from now on, I will be brining the strobes inside at night.

Sad state of affairs. I hope you find and prosecute the SOB Chris.

Added another fun thing I've been wanting to do for years. It's a virtual Santa. I placed a sheet over one of the windows and projecting a video of Santa like he's wandering around the house. It's pretty cool.
