I’ve only been getting CNBC Ch 355 in SD for two weeks. All other HD channels are fine. Any suggestions?

Check to see that your favorites list is indeed HD.
Or, change Favorites to Channels I get or All channels. Try choosing it from the Guide list on the screen. You can then add it to your favorites list.
I am watching it now and the DTV Info shows it as 1080i HD.

Thank you for the suggestions but none worked. AT&T Tech Support just will not answer or offer a call back.

This is an easy thing that takes a few minutes.
Go to Menu, Settings & Help, Settings, Choose Reset
Then choose Restart my receiver. It will instruct you to press the dash button "-".
After it restarts, check it then.

Just yesterday my machine had a guide and no pic at all on any channels.
I did the Reset and all is fine now.

I did the reset with no change. Also, I’m getting the 771 error with no rain. The last time this happened it was a transponder problem. With no response to get a tech, should I try unplugging the SWIM?

If it was the SWM power inserter it would give a 775 error code.
You should be able to look at it and see if the light is green.

There is no "Tech" support. All you can hope for is a CSR that used to work for D* before ATT.

Call Centers are currently slammed due to coronavirus staffing issues. Be patient and keep trying.

Wonder if the companies that use the call centers are hiring. You would not believe how many "Now Hiring" signs I have been seeing for the last couple weeks here. Jobs are available.

If you call DirecTV you will hear the message that your wait time may be longer or you may not be able to talk to anyone at all due to the closure of some call centers. So those call centers won't be hiring now. I had to call yesterday and after that message it said my wait time was 7 minutes and it was about that long when I got to talk to someone (without a foreign accent even).

I got a rep pretty quickly. She spoke good English and was located in Guatemala.

When I tried last weekend I got no one. Waited on the line for over an hour twice and never no answer. I think the secret is to call during the day on weekdays.

I've made a couple calls this week. My call to Loyalty Dept. on Tuesday got me a CSR working out of his house out of California, as they made several of them work out of home. He explained the process to me once I noticed no background noise typically observed when I make calls. They are sending people home to work, but had to call his supervisor at another number to confirm a credit for me. This CSR was very knowledgeable and was a pleasure to talk to!

Agreed, but another call I made earlier in the week resulted in a new number I did not know before. 844-822-3352 is another Tech Support number, specifically Advanced Resolutions. It's best to call in the morning, otherwise wait times are over an hour! This is an ideal number to use to get owned equipment activated as well, since ATT eliminated access card department years ago. But of course my call related to the DirecTV side of things. Had I been morphed over to ATT, I would not be able to activate an 'Owned Receiver'.

When you call and get a prompt asking about what account you are asking about, I responded 'DirecTV' since I am still on legacy billing. I guess if you are morphed into ATT account, you would indicate as such. I called again today around noon, and the wait time was only 6 minutes. Last night at 8PM, I was on hold for over an hour, and then I just hung up........

If I could, I'd sell every one of my owned HRs.

What's stopping you? Just list them on eBay as owned, provide the RID number, and tell buyers they are responsible for contacting Directv to make sure they can activate it on their account.

If nothing else, commercial (non public viewing) customers may be interested in them.

Can't bring myself to knowingly do something like that. Not when I know most folks won't be able to activate them.
