what will the FCC say? They don't do it in other markets.
Maybe D* would carry TCN as a part-time overflow channel like they do with the NYA-1, NYA-2, NYA-3, and NYA-4 channels for extra MSG feeds.
Will comcast let them?? this is on only CSN to lock in a other channel full time to get over flow stuff.
any news ?
I am waiting to see if the Philadelphia city ordinance will pass regarding painting of satellite dishes, Comcast thinks the ordinance may mitigate at least some of the mass migration to D* should CSN Philly ultimately land on D*.
If you really want to follow the latest developments, I would strongly recommend using Google Alerts and entering 'Comcast Sportsnet Philadelphia' and 'DirecTV' among the topics. That goes for everyone following this thread regularly.
Could we stop with this string???????
Does Philadelphia City Council really have any chance of passing this dumb ordinance? I am sure that Comcrap is donating globs of $$$ to those people, but really? Who on earth (besides Comcrap thinking it may be soon losing it's grip on CSN Philly)) would think of passing a law that mandates that DBS dishes be painted?
is that what they are trying to do ?? lol
I would disagree with stopping this string. It certainly keeps me informed more than any other source I have. It also keeps up interest and certainly generates a certain amount of pressure on Directv/Comcast even though it may be limited.
Jake34 you are so right even though it gets bogged down here some times with petty stuff I, still want this up and running.Especially for us who are big Directv customers who have made the switch from cable but, would like to still have access to our home teams games like everyone else in our great country.
The thread will stay open as long as there is useful information, but please don't post just to bump it or to discuss whether or not it should be closed.
For what it's worth, CV got their temporary stay pending court review. The injunction is in effect until 12/13 when the court will level its decision on access to MSG for U-Verse/FiOS. And since that outcome will directly affect the outcome of Comcast being forced to give over CSN Philly... what happens in that case will be extremely important to all those waiting on CSN Philly.
How ironic is this? TCN is actually available on satellite, if you own a BUD.
Yet, CSN Philly no where to be found.
for the stay ?
i found it:
Does anyone know how this 12/13 hearing went?
Saweeeeet! Comcast has no legal BS to fall back on and throw in anyones face. I say 2012 will be a great year for Philly DMA sat subscribers.
