I have a #622 receiver and a DSL wireless network that I want to connect it to for streaming Blockbuster movies.

I see that Dish has a USB wireless network device for $25. Is this a proprietary device or would any USB dongle work with the #622. Also, Dish refers to broadband networks, but would DSL work?

    Thanks,

    Jim

Your first question, I'm not sure, but your second...DSL is indeed broadband.

It's not a proprietary device in the sense that it's a normal Netgear Wireless-N dongle, but the receivers only have "drivers" for this USB dongle I believe. There may be others that would work, but it would be trial and error. You could try searching for info though.

Honestly though, $25 isn't a bad price for a wireless N dongle - and you know it'll work.

Netgear Model WNDA3100v2 is the only wifi connector that we officially support. DSL service would be fine so long as the speeds meet the minimum requirements for streaming
