Which sort of internet connection kit do you have? With WHDVR you need either the broadband DECA (connected to your router) or the new wireless Cinema Connection Kit.

Yes when I came back to Directv last month at the time I had an HDDVR in the living room and just 2 standared receiver but the installer hooked up my HD DVR he connected the wireless cinema connection kit, the HD DVR connects fine but trying to connected the HD receiver it says can't connect and when I go to the Whole Home DVR screen it says no networked DVR found.

The HD-DVR is an HR 24 and the HD Receiver is an H 23-600 the Wireless Cinama connection kit is hooked up as said before the HD DVR does connect to the internet wireless.

Each receiver needs a DECA. The H/HR24/25 receivers have DECAs built.

What are the model numbers of your receivers?

    Oh, my word.

    So sorry about that.

Call back and say you do not need a tech, you need a DIRECTV Cinema Connection Kit.

I think the wireless CCK could be moved to the H23 with the ethernet cable connected to the receiver and a wireless connection to your router.

There needs to be a DECA or a band stop filter between the WCCK and the H23.

He already has a Cinema Connection kit hooked up and running. He needs a receiver DECA for his H23.

Thanks because you called retention. Call the normal number, get a normal tech, they should know how to order a DECA.

When I had D* installed the hd box died after he left. He came back out a week later and spent 2 hours checking lines and everything and couldn't figure out why the box wouldn't turn on. He tried to tell me the reason the box had no power was a bad outlet. I ran the outlet the day before with rg56 that I got from working for Comcast for 11 years. Anyway the new hd worked but couldn't get online or mrv, he reset my router to default setting by the reset button without asking me. 1 hour later it still didnt work and he left saying it takes a few hours to connect. Well I was a tech so I know this as BS. I looked up the model online and found out it needed a deca cause the box didn't have it built in like the first did. I called D* and they sent one out and all has been good
