I just saw this post, so sorry for the late response.

CSN CHicago does ALL Blackhawk Games in HD, home and away. Same with the Bulls, Cubs and White Sox.

I get channel 698 just fine. 698-1 never has anything on it and that's all i care about...HD or nothing.

Pretty funny huh!? Well read this and then see how funny it is!!
DirecTV Asks FCC For Arbitration In Dispute With Comcast RSNs

    http://www.sportsbusinessdaily.com/article/126742

I will copy and past this little tid bit for you..
DirecTV is only out of contract with CSN Bay Area, not CSN California. Comcast said, "We continue to negotiate in good faith and have put a fair offer on the table that reflects the growing value of our networks, the investments we have made in them, and is reasonable based on market trends.

So i have a feeling you wont be seeing the chokers from across the BAY either!!!:hurah:

I just want the same value for my dollar that places like Salt Lake City subs get. Both Rockies and Diamondbacks for baseball and Coyotes and Avs for hockey. And almost always in HD very rare any of those games are in SD. Being in the BA DMA sucs in comparison.
edit: Why can't we choose one team from each league? This can't be that hard to impliment. I know advertisers, etc., but that is a weak excuse anymore. The whole setup needs to be revamped.

I totally agree with you. I am shocked and just plain disgusted that we have to go through this kind of thing!

    SO problems are

    1. DTV only assigned CSBA to south bay area even CSCA listed Bay area is serviced area and lot's of area get 2 RSN's. (Effect A's and Sharks)

    2. Comcast is asking too much for CSBA contract renew for DTV. (Effect G's and W's)

    3. Comcast is too cheep to lease(Not buy) more HDTV truck for more HDTV sports games.

Ok, I am a little confused (I know, happens all the time)...I am in the Sacramento DMA and CSCA is my primary sports channel along with CSBA. I get all the Sacramento Kings games in HD on 698-1. So, will I get the A's games in HD? Does DTV and Comcast have to sign a new contract? This is really going to piss me off if I can't get the A's.

No, DirecTV does not have to sign contract for CSCA.
See above post only need for CSBA.

But DirecTV has to follow MLB black out rule for A's game.
My guess is if you were getting A's game from CSBA last year, you will get A's game from CSCA this year.

Next test will be April 2nd 7pm game against Giants.
See the complete broadcast schedule from this link.

No we are not out of the woods yet for CSBA Giants and Warriors.
If DirecTV walk out because Comcast asking too much then we will be in the same boat.

I hope break through in negotiation on Bay Area and/or New England will encourage re-negotiation of CSNW and DirecTV.

CSCA went live for me today. I live in Livermore and it has been blacked out for me. I don't subscribe to any sports packages and hope this is not a short term light up. I'm watching a replay of San Jose Earthquakes and don't think they would light it up just for this. Let's see if the Kings game tonight is on.
