Richard- that was a different time different story. I recall that one too but not all the detail you reminded me of. This was actually Bill Clinton describing what they did their first night in the Whitehouse. I seem to recall it was on Jay Leno and Jay was telling the story. Point being that more than just me are fearful of Hillary if she gains any real power. There is good reason she is identified with the likes of an evil dictator, one who will say and lie about anything that justifies her end goal, to be in control of the world.

Oh for cripes sake! This is getting borderline psychotic now.:icon_stup

What exactly do you think it is she will do if President? Enforce a universal health plan with nukes? Turn over Exxon, General Motors and Microsoft to the National Park Service? No, she'll do just what Bill did, make the rich richer and placate the masses. It should be W's plan but he's too much the inept blunderer!

Or maybe you fear she'll get us bogged down in an unwinnable foreign conflict that drains our military forces, increases the power and influence of our enemies, and pays for it all by mortgaging our future?

    Why is a power-mad Democrat an "evil dictator" and a power-mad Republican a "patriot"?:scratchin

How you and some others get hate, fear and smear out of me encouraging Hillary to run is beyond me. That is what I posted, plain and simple. Do I want a democrat from the current batch of hopefuls in the white house, hell no. Do I think that Hillary's high negative numbers will go a long way toward keeping that from happening, yes I do. So run Hillary run. Where is the hate fear and smear?
BTW there are some democrats out there that I "FEAR" could win the presidency or be much more formidable in the general election. But my fear quickly dissipates for two reasons. First of all guys like Joe Leiberman and even Bill Richardson are not held in high regard by the party base. This is necessary to get the nomination. Second, If either of the guys I mentioned became president I think they would probably do a good job. Nothing to "FEAR" there.
As far as my hateful, fearful, smearful avatar, it is just a reflection of my opinion of Hillary in the political realm. Nothing more nothing less.
But as like many people, I have a desire to be liked and thought of in a positive manner. It seems that this avatar has sullied my reputation. It will be removed, and a more moderate replacement put in it's place in hopes of getting in the good graces of the DBSTALK Potpourri elite. I'm truly sorry if this avatar has offended anyone out there.

"Or maybe you fear she'll get us bogged down in an unwinnable foreign conflict that drains our military forces, increases the power and influence of our enemies, and pays for it all by mortgaging our future?"

I think she'll do what her teacher did, when she gets into a real mess with the oversight committees and the press she'll direct the news media in another direction like bombing North Korea, China, or maybe Iran just for the fact they don't like women of authority and it will get the focus off of her problems stateside. Sex in the Whitehouse? Nah, that was Bill's game. Her's will be something far more serious, like using the SS to make her enemies mysteriously have heart attacks and other forms of suicide. Besides, who in their right mind would ever have sex with her anyway. She is repulsive, IMO. Not in looks, but in personality.

"Why is a power-mad Democrat an "evil dictator" and a power-mad Republican a "patriot"?"

Beats me! Don't know, ask a Republican. I think they're both evil. You only believe Republicans are capable of doing wrong and all Democrats are perfect. But this is not about Republicans eventhough that is the only response liberal know how to make. Deny the truth and point the attention to the Republicans rather than speak to the question at hand. Did this thread title say Dear Bush? No . It is a Dear Hillary title. It is about Hillary and her running. The question was what is it that we have against Hillary and I told you what _I_ have against her. I fear her wrath should she gain the position of world power. Liberman, Yeah, I might vote for him. I didn't agree with his position before but that was a different time and different world situation. Today, I don't agree with the direction Bush is taking. I told you before, for me, game over when we captured SH. And, I don't think it matters much other than vengence factor to capture the head of OBL. If he still is alive, capturing him will not stop the terrorists around the world.

And so my question resonates. I assume you refer to Clinton's Afganistan/Sudan attacks on the eve of his impeachment. Talk about "damned if you do, damned if you don't".

After 9/11, Clinton was blamed for not doing more to address the threat from Islamic fundamentalists, particularly Osama bin Laden. Yet, when he had the chance and took it to nip Osama in the bud so to speak, it was assumed at the time and apparently still is today widely interpreted as "wagging the dog" being his sole purpose. No benefit of the doubt is given. And it should be noted, none of these actions, including Kosovo/Yugoslavia resulted in the US being embroiled in a continuing, brutal, deadly conflict with no end in sight.

OTOH, every benefit of the doubt is given to Bush for a careless, reckless war, with no end in sight, entered into on mistaken if not deliberately false pretenses. And still many believe we should extend Dubbya more rope as he still doesn't quite have enough to hang himself!

This is a double standard of astounding proportions! For my part, I'll take a Clinton who lobs a carefully calculated cruise missile or two in the direction of our enemies occasionally, even if it's mostly for "wag" effect over a Bush who leads us into major wars with inadequate intelligence, planning and manpower to get the job done even IF his motives are noble(which is certainly questionable). And believe me, "inadequate" here is being extremely charitable.

So you aren't afraid of Democrats, you are afraid of WOMEN. Don, I think a good therapist could help you with this fear/phobia of yours. Since women make up about half of society this might be a practical move on your part.

I'll come out and say it without mincing words.

Yes, I *do* believe that Hillary would screw up things worse than Bush has - and that is saying a LOT since Bush has, IMO, screwed up an awful lot to say nothing of turning his back on the ideals of the Republican Party. (Where's that small government we were promised - by BOTH parties now that I think of it "The era of Big Government is over" - B. Clinton)

But government DID get smaller under Clinton. It usually does with Democrats. When Republicans are in office it takes a LOT of people to peep in all the bedrooms and listen in on all the phone calls, not to mention reading all the email.

Thank you Dr. Bogus, the faux minister of dbstalks. I express a fear of Hillary Clinton if she becomes President and your brillaint analysis says that means I'm afraid of all women. You're weird! If you respond to your church members like that, I predict you will be moving yet to another chrurch, somewhere they don't know you. I suppose you also think Condoleza Rice is not a woman then. I once said I would support her for position of Vice President and even President and back then you were strongly against that because you, well lets say using your logic were afraid of her, not being able to do the job. I suppose then you are afraid of all Black people! Not so? Well, I'm just using your logic but when the names are different and it is back on you, not so nice is it? Bogy, I think you need to spend more time in Prayer and less on this forum. The more you post the less you impress others that you are a man of the ministry.
Last comment- Remember, My comments prior to this post were about my fear of Hillary becomming president, the theme of this thread. Now YOU Bogy, made it a personal slam at me, a violation of forum rules, so hear this, I am banning myself and you deserve the credit.

    Good bye!

The democrats have a real problem. The best qualified women for president or VP, are all Republicans. If Hillary came head to head with, say Ms Rice, there would be no contest. Put Hillary against any of the Republican women in any kind of head-to-head debate, and Hillary might as well book a slow train back to Arkansas - and hope no one remembers here there either.
