A note from the folks @ DIRECTV:
    So congratulations guys :)

One thing that all of the testing has resulted in is updated firmware for the DECA modules. This means, unfortunately, that new modules will be needed to replace the ones that you currently have. As a result, DIRECTV will be sending out new modules in the next week or two. You MUST send the old modules back once the new ones arrive.

All of the new hardware that you receive should match the official "approved" hardware list, so the good news is that everyone should be future proofed after the swap.

I'd appreciate it if all of you could answer 'Yes' in this poll to let me know that you have read the information and understand that you will be sending the old hardware back. This way I will know who all has checked in ..

    Cheers.

    Doug,
Will they ever get the DECA working with the H23-600 without PI?

Cool, maybe we won't have to hear about certain people's yellow lights any more!

Still have the FedEx box with the individual boxes inside.
I'll be traveling the third week of November but that shouldn't be a big problem.

Any idea if the frequency band has changed? Just wondering if it will still overlap OTA.

"Would guess" firmware means changes to yellow C.Link LEDs, but no frequency changes.

    Dripping...

That and the HR20-100, haven't seen anything on either STB eliminating that need. I wonder if DirecTV would replace those STB's if someone orders the DECA upgrade or just go with the extra PI on those STB's?

hah, and I just re-arranged my wiring this past weekend so that I no longer see the DECA lights. I figured we'd have no need to anymore.

Yes .. That was in the update to me as well. However, I do not believe it works in 0x36A.

Doug...assuming there are still LED's on these new units (maybe)...will eb get some added guidance on what the color combinations actually mean?

The whole yellow/green variations puzzled us for some time, and we really never did learn why we saw a variety of results....some of us all green, some yellow, and some a mix.

I think the goal is for all of us to have the same colored lights .. My guess is that is what the firmware is working to correct, but I don't really know that for sure.
