    "Old news"

I'd posted about the heat/warmth in the early days. :)

New DECAs installed and working fine. Old DECAs boxed and ready to go back to DirecTV on Monday.

Good to see so many reports of all green LEDs and operating well right out of the box.

Doug, sent earlier today (Sat) said they probably won't go out until Monday.

Yes, but my BBC's (used prior to getting an SWM) used to make my fittings hot as well...

    Pretty warm yes, "hot" no.

I checked the temp of one with a mobile thermometer...90 degress....cooler than any of the Hx or HRx series units themselved. The new ones are about the same.

Update - just checked all of them again....

The fittings on my DECAs are 85 - 90 degrees in a 73 degree room and an open cabinet.

Power does traverse along that length of coax .. the one connected to the receiver.

I brought mine in to work on Monday to be shipped out. The boss man had something to be shipped out as well, so he called FedEx to come pick it up, but they didn't show up til yesterday.

Regardless of the day, they have now been sent back...
