2nd game over and they ran the Raiders/Chiefs I believe just about 7 minutes past 7pm CST. What a crock as I had to pad all my shows each 1 and a half hours. Not sure if CBS played catch up somewhere else but gee what the heck eh. They need to hear about this big time. My dvr was recording 3 things on one channel...no shi...

2 paddings in one night lmao

Recording something on CBS...on a Sunday night....SUX! I add an hour and a half to each recording, and it almost always does the trick...but there were a couple times that it wasn't enough. Thankfully, there's nothing on anymore that I want to record.

I get an email each week informing me of the updated start times for my station, then I reprogramming the dvr.

    http://www.cbs.com/eye-lerts/

Today's came at 8:07 ET. "Revised start times for tonight's CBS programs: 60 Minutes (8:06pm ET), Amazing Race (9:06pm ET), Undercover Boss (10:06pm ET) and CSI: Miami (11:06pm ET) due to CBS Sports live coverage of the NFL."

They don't play "catch-up" until later in the night.

We need better increments for sure...all this and that yet the incrments to add time is too much? I thought about this before...directv made me chew hard drive space that may have been needed elsewhere!

    1hr 45min 30 min 15 min gee

Just record the next shows and realize the names won't match. That is what I used to do with Fox before they added a Sunday night buffer.

WCCO (CBS 4) here in MN went straight to news at 10:07(CST) So I assume they were going to show CSI:Miami after the Sunday sports wrap thing. NOT THAT I watch CSI:Miami my wify wanted to give it another shot tonight.

They announced late in the KC/Oakland game that CSI:Miami would be dropped tonight and showed a visual at the bottom of the screen with the revised schedule

I pad my Amazing Race recordings by 1.5 hours. I never miss any part of it.

DirecTV just turned on the west coast DNS for me and I was able to record CSI Miami from the LA feed since the NY feed was messed up.

But, it was a repeat and now i know why.

We've always padded Sunday night shows on CBS.

We currently have one and a half hours padded on the back end of The Amazing Race.

I pad all NFL games to start 10 minutes early and end 1 hour late. With all the overtimes and long games...I haven't missed one yet doing that.

Been programming TAR for an extra 1.5 hours for several years now. Every other week CBS runs their late games over. Used to it by now.

CBS needs to look at their programming schedule from Sept - early Jan.

Saying that 60 mins is going to start at 7pm (EST) is silly when the 2nd NFL game starts at 4:15. That, at best, is going to end sometime around 7:15-7:30 and if it runs long it's going to be pushing 8pm before it ends.

They should just move 60 mins to 8pm as it's standard starting time and then use any extra time from the end of the NFL game until 8pm as a recap / highlight show to compete against the same type of thing on NBC prior to their Sunday night game or re-air one of their 30 min comedy shows from 7:30-8pm as time allows.

I dont watch any of the CBS Sunday Night prime time shows, but could see where it would be a PITA to have to extended everything so long to be sure you are catching the shows you want.

I didn't pad the 9 PM program I simply set the 30 minute local 10 PM news to record and padded it an hour. ;)

And Fox has a resonable solution to this weekly problem, they run a wrapup show and don't start a network entertainment show until a time when most games would be over.

They give football more than enough time. If the game isn't over in the allotted time, just go back to regular programming. That would be a much better solution. :-D

CBS on Sunday nights is simply annoying. Have to love the way the President is on 60 Minutes and it gets pushed back because of Football. Says a lot right there.
