    I been watching Die Hard Of IFC. Thirty years ago when i first saw the movie its was not advertised as a Christmas move. When did it became a Christmas move or is this some joke that everybody gets but me?

    The movie is set on Christmas Eve. It has numerous Christmas references. It even has the theme of husband and wife getting back together. Why shouldn't it be considered a Christmas movie?

    Besides, it beats anything on the Hallmark channel.

    This is a long running debate topic. IMHO, it is NOT a Christmas movie. It is an action movie set in December. A Christmas movie has themes about religion, family, homecomings, redemption, etc.

    Family, Homecoming and Redemption were all themes of Die Hard.

    I hadn't seen it, watched it just now and it really put me in the Christmas spirit. I'm gonna grab my gear and go hold up a skyscraper. Ho Ho Ho.

    Speaking of Xmas, wasn't it you that recommended the Christmas tree I bought a few years ago? If so, I have to thank you again, that's the best tree we've ever had. If not true, could the person that did recommend it pop in and I'll thank you.
