It doesn't kill people to do a little research themselves.... I was going to say, you've been around here for some time having 160+ posts, but I see you just joined in April.

Regardless, no one forced you to pick up the phone and order anything. If you did it without your own research, so be it.

The *ADDITIONAL* charge to have a PVR and not AlmostEP is $5 per month. Your normal programming charges still apply.

That would be $29.99+$5 for each additional receiver plus tax if you are on AT60 and have no additional programming, or $39.99+$5 for each additional receiver plus tax if you are on AT120 and have no additional programming. (Or $49.99+ for AT180)

What are you on? What do you have?

BTW: The partial month fee comes from new installations. They charge for the month you are already using PLUS the next month in advance. In future months they will only charge for the next month in advance (plus PPV's and other purchases). This being MAY are you talking about your very first bill? The one that charges you for a few days in April and May plus a full month in advance up to some date in June?

Like MANY other services the first bill is a lu lu. They want their cash up front! There is a description of that policy on your bill (feel free to say it isn't there - we will believe you  ).

Upgrading to a 510 is not free. That will hit on your bill. The only reason why you are paying $80 and not $130 is probably a credit on your first bill for around $50.

You must have really been pissed at Directv to jump into a worse programming service without even finding out what you were getting into. With DHA you get repair service free for the first 90 days then it is $99 for labor unless you sign up for DHPP $6/Mo. then the labor charge is reduced to $29.99. You also lease each receiver for $5.00/ Mo. but you can terminate service at any time there is no commitment to DISH Network.

The DVr part is $.99. Your total bill might be $80. Nice try.

    And what are you on?

AT60? AT120? AT180? Anything else (such as movie channel subscriptions).
I'm sure if we do the math we can get you to $80 or so as an accurate bill.

Obviously your buying skills need some work.

The good news, being DHA, is when this all falls apart you have no commitment.
You have committed to pay E* $49.99 for AT180 - plus $17 per month for HBO/Cinemax, $5 each for your extra receivers, and $4.98 because you got a DVR. $71.97 per month plus tax ... which would easily bring you up to $80.

Add the partial month, subtract the $49.95 first month "credit" (which you really just paid in advance when you bought your sign up package) and your bill is accurate.

"Total Choice" for $39.99 is less channels. Perhaps you meant Total Choice Plus? Nevertheless, the deal you apparently got yourself into with E* isn't bad - and you can always bail. DTV or buying E* equipment requires a committment.

A salesman is supposed to tell you everything.Thats why i wrote to my Congressman bring up a bill you can sue a salesman if he doesnt tell you everything about a certain product.Like i can record a conversation with a dish network representive and if he or she leaves one thing out that i supposed to know that representive i talked to can be sued along with the company. That includes your doctor,Your auto salesman ,Your TV salesman or any other business representive if they dont tell you everything youre supposed to know they can be sued!

I have NEVER seen a salesman tell you everything about ANY product, that would include the good side and bad side of the product in comparison to others.

BTW, you recording a conversation, without telling the person that you are taping them, is a felony in most states.

I think your foil hat is on WAY too tight
