    Sorry, but I'm sure you're mis-reading that document.

    On p. 7 the blue colored link listed as;

    "Four power-passing splitters"

    Refers to the splitters to be used between the LNB and the parallel SWiM-16s under the following red colored category below "Lines from the dish:" And that link there takes you to the Skywalker p-p splitters.

    Then the next blue colored links listed as;

    "SWS-2"
    "SWS-4"
    "SWS-8"

    Refer to the lines from the SWiM-16's output ports "SWM-1" and "SWM-2" under the red colored catagory below titled "Lines to the Splitters and Receivers:" And those links take you to the green label SWM splitters (or "MSLITs").

    Please re-read the doc. carefully ...

    Don't think they are "approved" but they work....

    Not arguing that, just Jodean's contention that that's what Directv is telling installers to do. Which is apparently based on a Solid Signal whitepaper (they aren't Directv) and a misreading of it at that.

    Heck, when I'm testing stuff sometimes I'll use a random cable splitter to split SWM between multiple receivers since I don't have a spare green label splitter. Lots of stuff that works isn't approved :)

    I had a second dish antenna (right next to the first one) installed last March for my 4K. Due to my complaints about intermittent freezing on my existing setup with the parallel SWM16, he installed two Holland HFS-2P and two ASKA SP2G-2 splitters to the parallel SWIM16’s. It didn’t help- intermittent freezing/pixelating continued. I switched back to my WB68 and glitches went back to minimal/nonexistent. I might give the green dot 2way splitters, after I see another DirecTV material truck at the local gas station to get the parts needed.....

    Strange, I used four HFS-2D when I had two SWM16s and never had a single problem. Now I use HFS-3D and three SWM16s, but when I did that I also added a polarity locker so the splitters aren't passing any power.

    How many tuners are you running on your setup? And do you have any issues running whole home with 3 SWM-16’s?

    I think this is the installation at slice's bar establishment, which would make it a commercial installation. Thus it's comprised of receivers only.

    DVRs are not allowed and thus no WH of course.

    Yeah I'd have to be a glutton for punishment if I had all those H20s at home, and not a single DVR :)
