It would be a quick/easy way to see what was on where and select it.

I don't know if it's a Telemundo thing or a DirectTV thing, but again today, the mix channel has Olympics on TELe, but when you tune to 406, it's regular programming.

At least this morning they have added more of the Olympic channels to the mix and removed all the ESPN's.

Well, now we have telemundo east and telemundo west on the Mix showing he same feed. I cannot get telemundo on satellite but I do get it via a local channel in DC. The feed on the mix matches what is showing on the local feed. Maybe telemundo is sending different things in different ways?

As for the mix itself, finallly, it is olympics focused.

    CNBC
    Bravo
    MSNBC
    USN (?)
    Telemundo East
    Telemundo West
    Tennis channel (?)
    NBC Sports

Missing soccer and basketball channels and NBC main feed. Maybe contract issues with those.

Has anyone gotten the "Red Button" to loadup on the Olympic channels? For 2 days now it just says "Loading"?

The 3D broadcast this morning showed a ton of swimming and gymnastics. Absolutely no commentary for swimming. You had to rely on the graphics for all information. Full commentary for gymnastics. I've never minded the event commentary...just the ceremony commentary.

Interesting, it works on the reg. sports channels(ScoreGuide), but not on the Olympic channels. Same on either my HR21 or HR34....

I couldn't get it to work either, so I rebooted my box. It works now! :)

If it doesn't work, you aren't missing much. As the guide data is awful for the channels, not much directv can do with it. But it is also poorly organized. Sort of listed by time but with the overlaps kind of hard to follow. Plus it does not get updated through the day. At noon you have to wade through pages of stuff to find what is on.

How about just showing what is on now and put the future stuff (even today) on the upcoming section?

USN is now showing girl's field hockey..... in full boxed SD! Yikes.

And, silly me, I have been focussing on the mix channel labelled OLY, thinking it might be Olympics oriented. It's Ch. 750.

Instead, 600 has the greater preponderance of Olympics channels... And, oops! Telemundo west has disappeared, but TELe is thre.

And the red button menu is almost worthless to me.

USN has been showing prelim reruns and qualifiers. Nothing from London

Everytime I turn on an Olympic event I see an advertisement, or another meaniningless interview.

Maybe I'm in the minority here but NBC and their networks have done a great job in my opinion. Have really enjoyed all the different events they have/are covering. I don't even mind some of the taped delay stuff. Not that big of a deal to me.

Exactly - people just want to b*tch & moan about everything. Most viewers just want to kick back at primetime and watch what happened.

Yep. Live sports should be banned.

I don't think some will be happy until every sport is shown live on TV with no interruptions, even if that means no Primetime coverage. At least they got rid of solo synchronized swimming.

    Fixed it for ya'! ;)

Sometimes I wants my sports live, sometimes I wants it edited in prime or near prime time.

So far I'm happy with all the NBC coverage.
