The "why" is only known by DIRECTV. I am very confident that in due time DIRECTV would update the current apps to support MobileDVR service

The GenieGo app for Windows works with Mobile DVR, although I've found it to be a bit glitchy when watching downloaded shows.

I underscore the frustration of GenieGo owners. I should have never clicked on "upgrade to mDVR" in my PC app. I will try to refrain from getting on my soapbox.

If I was crazy enough to want to install the PC app on another PC, where could I get the PC app? (DirecTV no longer hosts it on their site, so I expect I'd have to get it from a third party site.) The version I have installed on my SurfacePro is 2.4.2.17, and is fully functional with my HR44. (Note that it previously worked with my GenieGo, but....see first paragraph.)

My goal is to get MobileDVR service from house2 [recently installed] on my PC.

    My DTV equipment: Continuous subscriber since 2000. House1: HR44 (+2 minis), 2 HR24s, whole-home, GenieGo2. House2: HR54 (+1 mini).

Mobile DVR is NOT available for the PC. Will it be - hopefully...
You can run the Nox android emulator on windows and then the DirecTV Android app will run under the emulator.

Well if it makes you feel any better the old genie gos do not work anymore at all and you'd have had to click that upgrade by now no matter what. :(

I can only hope that we get some improvements in the mobile DVR sooner rather than latter on all fronts.

Anyone that believes AT&T will provide a completely functional mobile dvr app, a completely functional streaming service with live big 4 networks is dreaming. There is not one thing that AT&T does right with the consumer in mind.

Try calling tech support, the best of the best are gone. Don't even bash me for my comments. It is the truth and some just do not see it for what it is.
