It feeds us useless crap though. Does he really think anyone that's watched TV in the last 15 years isn't aware that NFLST is only on D*? Come on give us some credit!

    As opposed to this post.

Every post he makes has to be insider information or a scoop, or it's useless crap?

Well I haven't seen him live us to his reputation yet. And how exactly does one race a satellite? Wouldn't Satellitetracker make sense for him for a screen name?

Please stop. Satelliteracer has been very good to this site for so long. I find it sad when people who provide nothing rip the people that actually provide us with information.

Hey who broke the news of us getting Universal Sports yesterday?

At least my posts are factual and not foggy crystal ball predictions.

Here's the bottom line. He's been around, he's provided great and accurate information usually before the events take place so people can plan. You have just recently signed up. You "broke" 1 story about a channel being added. So here's your :icon_hug: now get off of your :soapbox:.

I try to help where I can, but obviously there are things that cannot be shared for obvious competitive reasons, contractual reasons, employment reasons, etc. I've been given some latitude to provide some information or to set the record straight where I can when there is disinformation, but there is a limit. The DIRECTV Insiders forum is another forum where some of this information is out there that we provide where we can.

There is usually very good insight from customers here and the company does monitor feedback from customers all the time in forums like this. It's great, real time information.

For some of you, the information we provide back is valuable, for some its not. I'm sorry we can't be everything to everyone, but there are limitations for obvious reasons why all questions can't be answered.

Best of luck to your Lions, I sense an improvement from last season. :)

I totally agree and can't understand this delay at all. It is laughable to try and say D* customers and D* wouldn't be better served by having ESPNU in HD rather than at least 1 channel that is currently being offered in HD. There will be tons of SEC games on the U this fall and they all look like I'm watching a replay from 1983. I pay D* a ridiculous amt of $$ each month b/c they usually are head and shoulders above the competition on these types of things, but this is a HUGE disappointment.

Tell us some secrets anyway, I won't tell your boss. At least give us the launch date of ESPNU HD, we already know the contract terms anyway, who's it going to hurt?

Lions will win the Super Bowl this year, you heard it here first.

If you really want SEC games you might want to look at the Sports Pack a few RSNs have signed on to the SEC network, today MSGHD had the Tenn game on in HD (CSN Bay Area had it in SD).

That won't gain anything for those of us in the southeast. The sports pack feeds of the SEC network games will be blacked out. I already get those in HD over the air (and via sat in a couple of weeks). I'm still missing out on the HD for games on ESPN U which will be carrying a bunch of SEC games this season.
