That was the only time/this was the only place I’ve ever threatened to leave. I’m glad (mostly) I don’t have to do that now!

It’s a little weird neither side is saying anything though...

    Hi, James.
After our little exchange late last night, I'll admit to laughing and shaking my head when I read the link Steady Teddy posted.

99% of their stuff is based on links to someone else's "reporting".

Why I’ll wait for an official release before getting excited. Wasn’t there reports about CBS and DTV agreeing and then it went black?

Companies don't usually issue press releases over the weekend, their PR people don't come into work until Monday.

I know its NFL Sunday but if you tune into the WNBA playoffs on ESPN2 you’ll see AT&T logos on the basketball hoops and on the front of their uniforms. So yeah, AT&T and ESPN need each other.

Some sort of deal has happened AT&T just removed the notice about Disney from AT&T TV Promise - DIRECTV, DIRECTV NOW, U-verse I don't think they would have done that if the channels were at risk of being dropped.

One of AT&T's contracts for the Disney-owned Fox channels is up in November. Hopefully whatever progress that has been made already covers those as well. AT&T's latest programming changes information, which was posted today, also hints that the overall Disney deal wasn't signed at the time the notice was created and still expires in September.

Okay this adds a new layer to the previous Fox negotiations from 2018 and the current Disney situation. In 2018 that agreement with the old Fox Networks Group from November included FX, FXX, FXM, National Geographic Channel, Nat Geo Wild, Nat Geo Mundo, BabyTV, and Fox Life for DirecTV, AT&T TV Now and U-Verse TV. So where U-Verse TV's deal is set to expire in November 2019 for those channels then that means this will affect DirecTV and AT&T TV Now. Makes me wonder about the future of the Fox RSNs that Sinclair acquired now.

On a side note looks like AT&T Communication (DirecTV, AT&T TV, AT&T TV Now, AT&T Watch TV and U-Verse TV) deal with corporate sibling WarnerMedia also expires in November according to the U-Verse TV notice. I highly doubt there would be a dispute here as this would be a first for corporate siblings to dispute with each other over carriage fees. Also it would look very bad for AT&T if their two divisions fought over carriage fees rofl.

@mws192 Not sure what's going on here but the AT&T SportsNet & NBA TV channels still say their deal with U-Verse TV expires at the end of September just like the ESPN/Disney channels.

Would be bad if AT&T video services lost AT&T SportsNet (Pittsburgh, Rocky Mountain, Southwest) & Root Sports Northwest since AT&T owns them. Would also be bad if they lost NBA TV despite the NBA owning the channel WarnerMedia News & Sports operates the channel. o_O

Directv renewed its deal for the Fox RSNs last fall, before Sinclair took them over. So they won't need to worry about those for years.

I'm confused on what you say above - you say they renewed with Fox for those above channels last year, and now you say Uverse TV's deal is going to expire in November. So most likely they did not renew with Uverse TV last year just with Directv/AT&T TV Now, because why would AT&T agree to a deal that lasted only one year?

When AT&T renegotiated with Old Fox and the new multi-year deal was announced in November 2018 it was reported to include the following for all AT&T video services that existed at the time (DirecTV, U-Verse TV and AT&T TV Now):
    • Assets kept by New Fox: Fox & MyNet O&O stations, FS1, FS2, Fox Soccer Plus
    • Assets that were sold to Disney: FX, FXX, FXM, National Geographic Channel, Nat Geo Wild, Nat Geo Mundo, BabyTV, and Fox Life
    • Assets that were sold to Sinclair: All 22 Fox Sports Regional Networks
The recently updated U-Verse TV Programming Notice that includes November 2019 is listing all of the former Fox properties Disney now owns as expiring for U-Verse TV. These channels are the same ones that Disney & Dish are still negotiating over that Disney threatened to pull but then agreed to some sort of extension of unknown length of time. Also worth keeping in mind in 99% of cases when U-Verse TV is potentially going to lose a channel or group of channels this has been affecting all of AT&T's video services.

Something tells me that the deal included some sort of clause in the event of an ownership change is the only logical explanation I can think of or someone at AT&T has goofed.

I was just breaking down the assets that were part of the November 2018 deal and who owns what now. Fox News Channel and Fox Business News (part of New Fox) were not included in the November 2018 agreement and are kept on a separate agreement with distributors.
