I just watched Dear John. Picture and sound were good. Not one single audio dropout.... It's been a long time since I watched something without an audio dropout.

One thing I did notice is the sound had to be turned up way past the range I normally use. Not a big deal until you forget and switch channels. :D

My wife said the same thing about The Road. Maybe you should post your comments in the issues thread as well.

    I saw that. :p

The other two movies I referenced were watched over the weekend. Maybe they made a change or something over the last day that is affecting things just for tonight. But The Road was downloaded Sunday I believe. *shrug*

I have seven movies in my queue and I'm still waiting for the first one.

Are there any conditions for downloads? Maybe available space or location? Just wondering. :)

I am also wondering if available space is an issue. I usually try to keep my DVR at least 30% empty. Right now it's at 40% empty. Hopefully that is enough.

Currently this is the testing phase .. Don't expect it to be as perfect as you'd normally expect .. Think about where it's headed. Word I'm getting is that the service will be "great!" We just get to experience the "fun" part of it :)

I am going to suspend mine too.

Depending on what route DirecTV decides to take, this might be something good for everyone concerned. The $5.99 might fly for some "still in the theaters" movies, but not for many as Netflix has such a strong hold on this venue.

I am am going to make the assumption that this has been being tested behind closed doors for some time now, and this could explain why we got some movies pushed to our boxes last year.

OK.. out of sheer boredom tonight I watched the "Tooth Fairy" the 3rd movie I have watched under the test program.

I pulled the movie from my playlist.

Video and audio were without any issues, picture was good as was sound.

I wish they would push out Avatar so I could compare it to my Blu-Ray copy.

I watched "Crazy Heart" yesterday and it was fine.

"The Road" is on my DVR but I haven't watched it yet.

Those of you with extensive recording schedules may see your movies show up more slowly than those of us who don't record much, as our tuners are more often available.

Paul I don't think that has anything to do with it cause I have had these movies in my queue since friday night and nothing has downloaded supposedly The Wolfman was downloaded but I didn't even add that to my queue. I did have Dear John come down yesterday. I did have this put in my queue. During the weekend I had nothing scheduled to be recorded so I doubt it has anything to do with open tuners. But Monday thru Wednesday I have had stuff scheduled to record. And I still received Dear John. They must be pushing these to us a different way and I do not have it networked either.

I set up 5 movies in my Q on Monday night. The Tooth Fairy began downloading instantly and Crazy Heart was available on Tuesday night. I started to watch Crazy Heart on Tuesday evening but was interrupted. I attempted to restart the movie on Wednesday but could not use the Resume option. I was given a white screen with no prompts. When I restarted the movie, I was prompted to purchase it again.

I've never used the PPV option since the 24 hour rule went into effect. I don't know if clicking on resume should have informed me that I needed to re-purchase the event to complete the viewing.

There are still three other movies in Q that have not come down yet. Ch 1096 is not available this morning.

A tuner needs to be open at a time the movie is pushed. The Wolfman recorded before the test even started. I don't think anyone received anything over the weekend, evidently they started pushing test movies on Monday. You had an open tuner at the time Dear John was pushed. Those of us who requested Dear John but did not have an open tuner when it was pushed this time, have to wait till it is next pushed.
