    That's how mine looks. I'm not cruicial about the GUI being in HD...but it would be cool. :)

    When selecting the first movie, it popped up a dialog box "About Queue" with several lines of text on the top with a scroll bar, A selection box "Keep at Most" in the middle, which is highlighted, and the "Ok" to confirm box at the bottom. There is no way I can highlight the text, to scroll down to read whats cut off at the bottom. The highlight only switched from the Keep at most, to the OK box.

    Unable to get 1096 back on all four of my DVRs I downloaded to last night (was working before the download). Tried various reboots to no avail.

    I am currently watching the movie "The Road" which isn't exactly a barn burner and the entire movie is kind of dark, but the picture is excellent as is the sound. No problems observed whatsoever.

    The movie is 1Hr 51 min in length.
    The channel indicated when pressing the info button is ch 9981 *DTV.

    I would say this movie compares very favorably to a Blu-Ray disc. though I will reserve judgement until I see a movie with brighter scenes.

    Barry, Have you tried this sequence:

    Here is what I had to do AFTER the weekend CE:

    I wasn't getting ch 1096 either until I did the following things in this order:

    1. Menu>Setup>System Setup>Network Setup>Advanced Setup> Connect Now

    Wait for completion

    2. Select Continue and then run Network Services>Test Connection

    Wait for Completion

    3. Now do Keyword Search IAMANEDGECUTTER

    Wait for Completion

    4. Now do a menu reset>restart receiver

    Some of this may seem basic but this worked for both my HR23-700 & HR20-700. I did this just before I went to sleep and the following morning I had ch 1096 on both units.

    To the letter Larry (I responded in another thread). No luck so far. I am going to reboot my router in a moment. <--- EDIT: did not help.

    FWIW: my HR24-500 sees 1096 just fine. Its this newest software (last night) that stopped 1096 from working on the rest of my receivers.

    I am seeing several movies with 2 min times as others have noted.

    Some list no money symbol next to them.

    I am seeing that movies that are listed as in theaters, are not in the all list.

    I am seeing that the movies titles on the splash screen when you select ch 1096 are not really linked to the titles on 1096, because no where is the tooth fairy on channel 1096...

    None of the category's except drama have movies listed.. and all the movies are listed in drama, in hd all, in 1080p, and in all... ALl the exact same movies....

    I am not seeing any indication on movies in theaters as to when they are expected to be available.

    I see no notation of how long it is predicted to have a movie in the queue to be recorded.

    My HR24-500 sees only the Top Picks, while all categories are empty. There is also no "In Theaters" tab in categories.

    Yet another case of "RTFM Barry". I expect instant gratification, not the red part above. After a couple hours:

    Low and behold... (drumroll) I have that infamous black screen that most got at the start last night.

    No 1096 for me. Says "Channel Not Available"

    I set a refresh to my box and did a reset, didn't help.

    Not sure if it makes any difference but SPACEMAKER doesn't get it either and we are both from Michigan.

    On my HR21-700 one of the movies I added to my Queue was "The Road" and a few hours later it was listed in the playlist with a Q icon next to it however it shows it was from 127 CINEHD not 1096.

    I queued up my first PPV last night.

    Issues/observations from testing on my HR23-700:

    • When adding a video for the first time, it brings up a configuration screen giving you a scroll bar, and asking how many videos. I couldn't find any way to get to the scroll bar, and move it.
    • The next screen after this configuration screen is a very awkward OK screen (nothing else to click in main portion of screen except OK). It is very out of place, and doesn't fit with the way the rest of the GUI works.
    • When going back to the configuration screen through the QUEUE menu (under manage recordings), it shows 3 lines of information followed by "...". There is more that is said, but you can't read it.
    • The categories aren't working. When going to ALL (on channel 1096), you can see there are several comedies, yet when selecting comedy from the 1096 main menu, it can't find any.
