None of the movies I received were tagged with 1096, it was either a regular PPV (three movies) or the channel 9981 (pushed on Demand) twice.

    The Road 125
    Crazy Heart 127
    The Wolfman (Unrated) 125
Avatar and From Paris With Love 9981

I pretty much figured from the start that the only movies coming down are those from PPV and Pushed on Demand. None of the 1096 stuff is being downloaded. The stuff everyone is getting is already "here" either thru PPV or P.O.D.

Is this because 1096 just isn't downloading (inactive or broken) or because it just takes so friggin' long to get it off the sat? If it's the latter I think this will be dead BEFORE arrival (as will be the customers waiting weeks to watch a movie). The average person doesn't want to select a movie and wait 2+ weeks to watch it.

This morning From Paris With Love has been moved from the Queue to the playlist. Today is the release date so it seems the receiver had this information and waited till the correct date to make the recording visible.

1096 is just a virtual channel to provide the interface to the Directv PPV/Directv Cinema backend. Programs won't actually "come" from there at all.

I am bumping my quote above to see if I should be posting this in the issues thread.

If so, when is the cutoff? What I mean is:

If you have a movie queued for x days and it doesn't download, please report it.

    Define x. :)

"Shutter Island" is now available in my Playlist expiring 7/10 and showing from 125CINEHD.

It was in my Que on my HR23-700. It is now gone from the Que and shows in the Playlist.

I would think this was expected behavior.

Shutter Island and From Paris With Love are both removed from my Queue and show up in my List as being available.

I had this issue as well and also feel it should fixed. We can track the progress of the fix by going to the following location. You'll see the same screen without the scroll bar, text is still incomplete.

    <Manage Recordings> --> <Queue> --> <Preferences>

1096 was down after today's affair. I will check it again in a little while tonight and update with my results.

Some selections in my queue are being recorded faster than others. For example I added Shutter Island to my Queue Tuesday evening and less than twelve hours later it's available to view.

RIght, but there are movies on 1096 that aren't on the PPV or P.O.D. channels. NONE of those movies are being downloaded, only ones on the PPV channels or P.O.D.

Still nothing as of 6:20 am. I will place Shutter Island in my Q and see what happens.

It seems like Shutter Island is in the stream, and if you add it to a Queue it will download.

I bet this is the beginning. I sorta think we'll start seeing more this week....as mike crosses fingers...

I would like to make a suggestion if I may.

I hate to start another complaint about how slow the DVRs are, but it is kinda annoying when I am checking out movies I have never heard of and I want to see what the movie is about.

There is a little description preview when you scroll through the list on 1096 and it is usually so full of useless information that I have to open the selection to see what the movie is about. Opening and then closing the more info screen to go back to the list on 1096 is slow for me. Checking out a large list of movies that I have no idea what they are about is so slow for me that if I actually did this on my own outside of the trial as a "normal" customer, anytime I would think about ordering on demand, I would probably say "Screw this, I can just go to the store and find something I want faster than this, it's only a dollar there anyway, and I can stop at BK across the street and get a whopper while I am out." It has got to be something that isn't annoying to navigate through and is going to play right away if DoD is going to work for someone like me.

It would be nice if the little description preview that you see when you scroll through a list of movies could say something short and sweet like "A man falls in love with a woman after writing letters back and forth" instead of "When a woman (Actress Name) has to be separa....", for example. I would know right away if I would or would not be interested in movies without having to open and close all of them.

It's just a suggestion I thought of. It won't hurt my feelings if you don't decide you like it, and I hope I didn't hurt your feelings talking bad about your DVRs

    Thanks for listening :)
