Time to use my clearQAM from Cox... this stinks.

oh wait... KSWB doesn't show Clear QAM on Cox since they moved the HDs to the 1000s

This is what I sent to DirecTV.

Subject: Trbune Fox 40, Sacrament - Stick to your guns.

I do watch this channel, but I don't care. I believe in you, stick to your guns and don't let Tribune bully you around.

Instead spend your money on BBC America HD. Save the bandwidth for something a whole lot better. Thanks!!!!

I can wait till football season to get KSWB Fox back on the air, the only things I watch on Fox now are Raising Hope & New Girl, I would have recorded Bob's Burgers but I can catch the rerun or Hulu it.

10 games? Far from it. Look at all of these WGN games.

Thankfully I'm at college where we have Dish. I have D* at home, but thankfully I can get WGN OTA there.

I go to college in Bloomington, IL, and just imagine if I had DirecTV here instead! Given MLB's draconian blackout rules, wouldn't there be absolutely no legal way for me to watch the Cubs games? They would be blacked out on MLB.tv and MLB Extra Innings, so I'm pretty sure the only way anyone in central Illinois and Iowa can watch Cubs/Sox games would be to switch providers. Right?

Tribune is ridiculous. If people really wanted any of these channels, they could get them for FREE!

All they've done here is lose 30 million pairs of eyeballs, If I was a sponsor for a tribune station, I would be upset.

I like the Cubs and Sox but with MLB EI we'll get the opposing teams' feeds anyway. I stand behind DirecTV on this one :)

There are plenty of people who really want them but can't get them for free. Me for instance. I can't get my locals with an antenna.

It’s the same for most of New London County. In this case Tribune is actually removing viewers from the local stations that have no other way to get the channels...short of switching providers that is. Advertisers should be pissed at Tribune.

At the risk of sounding like a fanboy I have to say I'm with D*.
    Stick to your guns guys.

This sh*& has really gotta stop though.
I can easily live without WGNA, but I wonder who will be next to hold up D*?

I fear that this seemingly endless process of being extorted by these providers may be having an impact on D*.
I was at a friends house Saturday who said,
"So you sticking with D*, seems like they can't hold onto any channels?"

This very misinformed statement that I corrected is not new to my ears.

D* HAS TO launch a better PR campaign to manage this better, failure to do so will hurt them in the court of public opinion.

you know whats really annoying? I don't even have directv yet and when I watch CW, I have to watch huge banners coming up during my programs telling me about the situation. I agree with what other people are saying, DTV needs to hold their ground as Tribune are just making A*Ses of themselves.

If you can, go buy a small "barbeque grill" antenna and an AM21 for your receiver. You can get 9.1 OTA while D*'s 9 is turned off. Also helps with thunderstorms from the SW, where D*’s feed can get cut off but OTA to the city remains strong. The Hawks' game last night looked great as always (although they lost to the Wild).

Can’t wait for Thursday’s Cubs home opener (at least I can dream for at least one day…).

Okay, so I have my antenna up, I can't place it on the roof (apartment) but in the bedroom, I can get KSWB on 69-1 on my TV's tuner, but the AM21 on my THR22 won't add the channel. Any ideas why the channel won't add? All other locals show up via the AM21.

Check the timestamp of my post you quoted ... it was made shortly after DIRECTV announcee an agreement, before Tribune contradicted DIRECTV, and WELL before Tribune told DIRECTV to take the channels down.
