You are correct. To be fair, I didn't even notice this until last night, when I went to watch the animation block. If it's still off by Friday and I can't get these AM21 issues sorted, I'll be quite upset if I miss Fringe.

From Apr. 5th throught 15th Directv is having their free MLB Extra Inning Preview. For downstate Illinois, normally the Cubs/White Sox games are blacked out since they are available on WGN or Comcast North. If they are scheduled to be broadcast on WGN, and since Directv isn't carrying that channel, would the black out rules still apply?

You prolly already know this, but if all else fails, you can view the episodes online. Not the same experience, I know, but better than missing Fringe entirely!

    Exactly, it's not the same.

I did get the AM21 to load 69-1 and 69-2 on my HR24. It seems odd that the THR22 didn't load it though. I did both channel scans this morning.

Unfortunately, yes. The blackout rules are MLB's doing, not DirecTV's. The same applied in previous years for the Padres in San Diego. 4SD from Cox was carried on MLBEI, but blacked out in SD, though 4SD isn't available to DirecTV.

What's blacked out has nothing to do with whether DirecTV carries the channel or not.

If the game is available on WGN or Comcast North, it's blacked out on Extra Innings regardless of whether DirecTV carries those channel or not.

OT, but I found I had to scan 3x on one of my two HR24-100/AM21 combos before it found all the OTA channels I wanted.

Anyone else notice that for those of you who receive CWe, 394, they went from WDCW to Baltimore's CW? I wonder if that will be permanent?

It doesn't matter that we're in the same DMA, I live 70 miles from Harrisburg and probably 90-100 away from York. So I'm qualified for the NY one. Where do you live?

It's probably permanent since there's no deal.

Is Baltimore the adjacent DMA for you. I know that a lot of subs have the adjacent DMA in SD.

I have the RI locals in which is where I'm gonna get my Fox recordings in the near future.

Do I understand correctly that the CEO of Tribune Company, Eddy Hartenstein, is a former CEO of DirecTV?

Think that may play a part in the nature of these negotiations…?

I lost KTLA5 here in the Los Angeles area.

KTLA5 has been engaging in a real dirty smear campaign over the last week or so.... I follow them on facebook for the local news, and last week they started spamming facebook with a campaign on how they DirecTV never paid for their carriage, and are now trying to get a "fair deal" for their programming.

Of course when people ask what a "fair deal" is, they don't answer. They do answer though with a phone number to call with DirecTV to beg them to continue carrying KTLA.

Enough. I can miss KTLA, their news broadcasts can be seen online, and I never watch any of the CW programs. Stuff them, DirecTV hold your ground!

Previously, Hartenstein was involved in the satellite television business. As the founder of DirecTV, Hartenstein served as the company’s chairman and CEO, and was responsible for strategic planning.

395 appears to be a San Diego CW station. If NO deal is reached with KTLA (the Los Angeles CW affiliate), can we call DirecTV and ask them to unlock this channel for the CW programming, since we lost CW programming through the local affiliate on DirecTV?

No that would be illegal. Unless you can not receive your local CW by antenna.
