CNN International does have a 720i HD feed, but as far as I know that HD feed is only available on the European ASTRA satellites for distribution on European cable (and satellite) companies. The rest of the world will still have to do with a SD feed only. (The American HD feed for the US version of CNN is available in Asia). The only problem with CNN International for American viewers is that the American "prime time" block (Anderson Cooper 360, Piers Morgan, etc) is simply simulcasted on CNN International, as that is between 2AM and 5AM GMT. Since there isn't enough viewers in e.g. Europe on that time block, it makes sense to simply broadcast something from a part of the world where people are still awake. It's nice for the west coast as the actual 6AM GMT broadcast start of CNN International news shows such as World Report would be 10 PM, but for the east coast.... it doesn't matter that much, as between 8PM and 1AM (including a repeat of Wolf Blitzer from earlier in the day) there is little different in the programming on CNN International. That all said, I don't care if it is SD, I would watch CNN International in SD, and would welcome the addition along with BBC World News.
