Hopefully DIRECTV can realize this prediction.
Fox Soccer Channel HD appears to be available to commercial customers now but still no ETA (from DirecTV's side) on its availability for the regular customer... according to a Fox Soccer rep it was supposed to be today but that may have been only for bars & restaurants, it looks like.

Sorry if I misinterpreted your post but it surely sounded like you were rebuking Stuart. My apologies if I was wrong, but the parts I highlighted above were where I clearly misunderstood your apparent intent.
The ALL CAPS and "" probably didn't help your tone either.
"Soon". :sure: .
I wonder if we'll get a few when NFLST is over?
My wish: I want every available channel in HD and I want them now!
need breaking bad in hd on amc.
All movie channels not currently in HD
My response was consistent with the message Stuart opened the thread with. Which was a message that any ideas or criticisms presented by a poster will be dismissed, actually probably never read, by DirecTV. The "talk to the hand" was illustrative of how much DirecTV cares about what is written in this particular thread. Sorry that my use of caps and emoticons is so disturbing to you.
So you were parroting. Gotcha.
I would like to have Amarillo locals (HD or SD, I'd take either). Also BBC America.
There are still people who get no locals, that would rather have them than more new national channels. I know it's only 5% of the country without locals, but when you are a member of that 5% it is important.
No, not parroting.
Happy New Year all. :goodjob:
Travel Channel in HD is all I want. OK, Versus too.
Yes, Hutchinshouse, we get that. You want Travel Channel. Thank you.
I go along with all the nationals, but what I really want is my local public station's hd feed. D* is already wasting band width to broadcast 2 channels of the local, one is a sub-carrier with different programming then the main channel, and also the alternative broadcast channel so why not the hd? I have been reading alot of these threads concerning locals and have not seen any other city with 3 channels from the same public broadcaster.
DIY & Style in HD please. I'm addicted to the home improvement stuff! So much cool info! So much learning!
I 2nd this motion! All in Favor!.................
There remain, of course, many imponderables (for customers, at any rate); some reside within DirecTV’s control, some without. For example:
With which providers has DirecTV successfully concluded negotiations for new HD programming? Will many highly-anticipated channels – yes, including Travel! – not be offered for several months after D12 becomes operational (SR noted it “will take some time” for all channels to appear)?
With which providers, beyond Comcast, has DirecTV failed to reach agreement?
Which smaller markets (including mine) now will receive HD LIL? When? How comprehensive will be the suite of local channels offered by DirecTV? Will it match or at least approach cable?
Will the FCC meeting on January 29, addressing in part the terrestrial loophole, ultimately translate into availability of CSN Philadelphia and other affected RSNs?
I Third this Motion!!! Travel Channel in HD!!! Yeah!!! :d
What one second... Hutchinshouse wants Travel Channel?!? :sure:
Yes, I think Hutch wantx The Travel Channel In HD as well as others but we won't mention them.
That Hutchinshouse guy is so repetitive. I really wish DIRECTV would add the channel just to shut him up.
