The list is excellent. I would love to have those channels although I don't care for the CSns and FSNs (enough sport channels for me). I would like to suggest 2 other channels that are not yet live but look promising:

    Retroplex HD
    Indieplex HD

I think there is a lot of people who like old and traditional movies without the 200 million budget for the FX and CGI.

Sixto: not sure if your list reflects order of precedence but, if so, I would elevate History International HD. I greatly enjoy documentaries; consequently, the BBC's decision to sell most documentaries it produces to other US networks renders BBCA HD less interesting to me.

Will continue to track all feedback and then update the list.

Also post if you feel strongly that a channel should be removed from the list, but RSN's and 3D can't be removed. :)

Wasn't sure about the Outdoor channel.

Also trying to keep the list under 50 for now.

    I like Sixto's list. :)

To my knowledge there isn't a full-time NASA HD feed, and of there was it would be mostly SD content anyway (the same thing people have been b!tching about on MTV, CMT, TBS, etc. for years now). NASA only records HD content on a very limited basis, and when it IS distributed, it's usually through HDNet or the Discovery channels.

No particular order. I may move those 4 Other to the top of the list as well.

Be nice if we end with a real top-40 or top-50 that everyone is happy with, while being conservative with bandwidth as well.

NASA HD is available on C-Band and is used primarily for educational purposes. Folks seem to assume that it is an HD simulcast of NASA TV. It isn't available as a channel in the same way as others. Everyone can cross it off their lists.

You have to leave room for CSN Philadelphia; CSN NorthWest and I guess CSN south or whatever it is called for when D* gets the right to carry them (HD versions and SD versions I guess) as long as me saying I am happy with the list includes these channels the second they are available to be put on in HD (and I guess SD COX 4 as well if that is still an issue) then I am happy with your list.

Question Sixto....If & when DTV gets their act together and makes us all happy instead of publicizing an addition of a Chinese Channel....could DirecTV add that many HD's in one shot? or would it have to be rolled out in waves? like the way Dish-Network broke out 9 new channels ( I have no clue if more will come later )..would the rewards of D12 really be plenty in one shot?? or added in separate groups later on?

Perfectly happy with that list. I think it's missing The Africa Channel which has been said as forthcoming.

It might be in phases/waves, but technically all-at-once is possible.

It may be easier, from a project management perspective, to have a few waves. It may also help with PR to roll out over time, with the associated press releases with partners.

Yes, had Africa on the list and then removed it. Figured would only include channels that we need to be happy.

The list of yours that I modified, I added a few channels to the list that I felt would diversify their packages.

However, unlike you, I didn't even add the Africa channel, as I simply do not know what to make of it yet. I found other channels that I thought would fit the bill...
