While both are very true for business models, subscriber churn is also taken into account. Some churn is acceptable as long as projections are met. It almost seems the current direction won't change unless churn increases beyond their projections.

Sadly, that leaves some disappointed because there's little value perceived in our patronage, if this is true. I don't know this, but IMO, there may be little to no new HD national channels added until model projections are proven wrong by a sudden spike in sub churn. I am certain that is monitored closely and would be remedied rather quickly before a mass exodus started.

    Lancaster,...
I got a reply from D* yesterday about my inquiring for them to add AMC HD, BBC America HD, History Int'l HD, etc. The reply said that D* hopes to add more HD channels later this year "once their newest satellite is fully operational".

Is D12 not fully operational yet? I thought it went live late last spring/early summer. News to me.

Hey, that wasn't funny. I had a horrible flashback to "another thread" right there. I actually did a double-take on the thread title. . .

    I must now self-medicate immediately with a little Cap'n Morgan Private Stock. . .

Wouldnt it be cheaper to fuel it with the Hot Air about all the new HD channels we were supposed to get? Or maybe thats why we dont have any new channels, the Hot Air leaked out into space.

Almost certainly. You have to be in case management or higher (e.g. One of Ellen's minions) before you are permitted to fabricate an email from scratch.

Looking good, Directv! Way to go, adding all these new national non-PPV non-sports HD channels! Whew, finally "up to"/over 200 HD channels like your advertisements claim.

<alarm clock buzz> What, that was just a dream??????? Awwwww crap.

...you know...if you're so unhappy...there are other options. Complaining continuously without doing anything to change your circumstances exposes an agenda.

My options went from three to one when C-Band went out. Directv represents the better option to me than Dish, but I can't get cable or Fios down my street. It's a sad statement, being only 30 miles outside Philadelphia.

So I reserve the right to complain yet remain a Directv customer...:)
