Dish maybe. Xfinity has added three 3D cable channels to my lineup this year...and they charge extra for them.

Since I already have Verizon land lines and their fios internet, I just got a killer deal to get their Triple Play package to add one fios HD DVR and a year of their Ultimate HD package which includes ... wait for it ... AMD HD. I'm actually paying $5 less for this package over my current Verizon monthly bill. This should tide me over nicely until D* adds AMC HD. You think one year is enough of a buffer?

Wow, I havent checked this thread in a month or so. Good to see Hoosier hasn't changed. It's like I never left...

Is there a way to set individual screen names to "ignore" so that i dont have to read through these types of condesending responses?

As was previously pointed out ESPNU, IS a sports channel. There hasn't been ANY basic HD channels added for almost a year

QVC doesn't pay D* or other providers to carry them. They share a % of their revenue with the providers. They shouldn't have share more revenue with D*, to get the HD channel carried, since QVC's parent company (Libery Media) is the largest stockholder of DirecTV Group Inc.

Satelliteracer, who do they tango with when they own the channel (GSN), or at the time an HD channel is launched (QVC), they share the same parent company (Liberty Media) who now is the largest stockholder of DirecTV Group Inc.?

    Laker44,

Thanks for the info/clarification re: QVC and D* relationship. Completely agree with your point.

    Is it June already??

    No?

Engaging in hyperbole doesn't bolster your complaint. Just tell it like it is.

Technically 3net and n3D are basic channels (i.e. they don't charge extra), you just need a special TV and goggles to watch them.

I recall someone mentioning that Dan Patrick may have mentioned some announcement is coming on Wednesday, maybe about the NCAA basketball tournament on Directv.

Dan Patrick's announcement was that his show is giving away a new 42 inch HDTV everyday for 20 days leading up to the start of the tournament. I sent Directv a message on twitter and they responded that plans for the march madness coverage is still being finalized and will be announced as we get closer to the tournament

I anticipate switching to my local cable provider who has all the HD channels I care about, including AMCHD & BBCAHD. Just waiting on my Ceton cable card tuner. I also anticipate saving $20+ per month. :hurah:

Finally, I anticipate not missing Hoosier205's constant trolling, or the mods letting him get away with it. :nono2:
