I assume those other HD stations never showed up H2, TCM etc.? Knew it was too good to be true lol
Actually everyone should sleep in til 7am et, only infomercials til then. Seems to always happen when they launch basics. :nono: Who's up watching TV at 6 am anyway???
Me! up at 300 am MDT, catch First Look on MSNBC, off to work @ 415 am. Crazy, perhaps.
DirecTV posted a news article today the 17th on E! in HD so maybe that means it starts tomorrow? Weird their own press release does not indicate the date.
But I know sometimes you get the release out the day before... The article with today's date implies its available now in the last sentence: "Enjoy all of these shows and more like never before in HD, available on Channel 236."
See all of the glitz and drama on E! in HD

Festivus with the Kardashians sounds like trouble. Or a Christmas Special.
For years there has been the claim that BBC America HD has been available as a test channel on Directv, so (possibly) any evidence of a test channel does not imply carriage will be "soon".
Who's made that claim?
A very special edition of The Soup?
I've seen several claims on various anticipation threads since BBC America went HD, here's one for example:
(at least I assume that meant BBC America)
I recall seeing ones earlier than that, though I'm not going to spend time searching for them.
E! HD is "live":http://www.dbstalk.com/showthread.php?p=3002495#post3002495
Sweet. Thanks Sixto.
Now please give us BBC HD next. And where's GSN HD at, which you own part of?
I had to add E to my favorites to have a look. Took a couple of minutes. Then I reviewed the program schedule for the next few days. After that it only took a couple more minutes to remove it from my favorites.
I'd like (directv) to buy a different vowel, please Pat.
is there a letter "A" as in BBC-America HD?
or the letter "I" as in DIY-HD?
or the letter "O" as in Ovation-HD?
Yawn. Wake me up when we get some good channels.
Anybody remember 2010 when we got 5-10 channels for Festivus? Those were some crazy times!
E! may cause a yucky feeling.:lol::lol:
Man those were some crazy good times!!! Curious if Directv will ever be that generous again prior to D14 or after!
Unlikely since those multi-channel debuts you are recalling were the direct result of the rapid-fire satellite launches of D10, 11 and 12.
I removed E! from the list of channels not available...
I hope D14 gets up and running "soon" then.
Probably not the right spot...but...I am anticipating (dreaming for) that on Sunday, May 13, D* uses the channels set aside for the UEFA soccer broadcasts to set up a mosaic channel for the Fox network coverage of the final day of the English Premier League. There will be nine games broadcast simultaneously over the Fox network (plus internet site) and an additional game on ESPN2. This is one of the most compelling days in English soccer as it determines the fates of teams for the next season. There are millions of dollars at stake for the clubs and bragging rights for its fans.
Please DirecTV set up the feeds similar to the special golf major/tennis grand slams/MLB/NBA, etc.
Thanks everyone for your indulgence...Hopefully, someone (Sat Racer????) will think this a good idea and make it happen, or at least send me an HR24 so that I can record more games.
