Well they DO have an HD feed nonetheless...out Comcast system here has it in HD.
TWC & Brighthouse carry the HD feed as well.
They DO actually have some new, original shows in HD as well.

    Ohboyohboyohboy.

Please let it be BBCAHD, DIYHD, H2HD, or TCMHD. Or two of them. Or three of them. OR ALL OF THEM.

    Ohboyohboyohboy.

Well I don't want actually GMC or any of the others I listed. I was just (jokingly) interpreting SR's clue of a band playing to mean a music channel will be the next Festivus.

Band paying, they played on the Titanic which we're approaching the 100th anniversary, therefore H2.

    I know. It's a stretch....

How about H2 and BBCA? I'm ready for 2014 when the new sats are launched, then we could nearly have it all.

I think it's pretty obvious. Satelliteracer is finally tired of working for "The Man" and will now follow his true dream of starting a band in his parents' garage.

He used the same smiley band animation to tease the HD additions last time, so I wouldn't read too much into the meaning of the musical trio other than to prepare for more HD.

He used the smiley band on 1-24-12. Far as I can tell, this was to presage the HD-UI update which added Pandora, not more HD. Of course, what he means by it this time is anybody's guess.

Those are, of course, The Beatles.
    The Beatles are British.
    Therefore: BBC America.

Oh let the careful and surgical examination of SatelliteRacer's every word continue. :D :D

From a technical point of view, yes.
From a financial point of view, that's a whole different story.

No agreement = No new HD.

The Giro d'Italia begins on May 5. Universal Sports needs to be in HD by then :D After all, it was during the Vuelta a Espana in August of 2011 that Universal Sports started advertising Universal Sports HD, and DirecTV was the only national carrier. It is time it became reality.

Beatles had 4 members (well technically 6).

    3 band members = 3 years. No HD til 2015. :(

It has been on DirecTV in SD since June 15, 2011. Dish added it in SD on February 26, 2012. BendBroadband and Wave Broadband added it on April 2, 2012. There might be a few others that have picked it up.

My point was that Universal Sports started advertising that it would be available in HD back in August of 2011, but no one has it in HD yet. When the HD ads started, DirecTV was the only outlet (other than as a subchannel on local NBC affiliates, which was in the process of being phased out) for Universal Sports.
