I know most of them are owned by cable companies, but they should be nice and share their signal, Right!!

Tell that to FiOS and overbuilders like RCN who can't get NY1 from Time Warner or News 12 from Cablevision. (The latter which uses "never on FiOS or Satellite" in every promo)

But will the courts let that say in place? and lets say the cable co use the courts to get Sunday ticket and a side of that is that the cable only stations also have to open up as well.

I'm not sure people understand the difference between channels owned by cable or satellite companies and Sunday Ticket. Sunday Ticket is not owned by DIRECTV, it is owned by the NFL and sold to DIRECTV. The only reason the courts would get involved here is because of anti trust issues. The NFL can decide to sell their package to whomever they want, including an exclusive deal with DIRECTV. The problem starts when a carrier (Comcast, DIRECTV, etc.) owns a channel and won't sell it to anyone but themselves. These regional news channels, like regional sports channels, are much more comparable with the Audience Network than with Sunday Ticket.

NWCN is owned by Belo and is carried by Dish, in addition to the cable companies.

Now that the English Premier League is coming to an end and Fox Soccer Channel will be gone, I think DirecTv should bring back GOL TV in HD. It should also add ESPN DEPORTES AND FOX DEPORTES in HD. These are the only 3 channels that stops me from canceling my cable.

A channel not on DirecTV currently that I'd like to see added is Outside Television the old Resort Sports Network. They have some good shows including showing many Warren Miller ski films. I haven't watched it recently, but in the past they also provided ski reports/forecasts specific to the ski/resort areas.

Hoping to see Fox Movie Channel HD and Reelz HD in the next round of additions, whenever that is.

FuseHD, WeHD, OxygenHD, StyleHD and WeHD would pretty much just about make DirecTV perfect IMO. My local cable provider has all of those, including more like PBS Sprout and religious, government and even NASA in HD.

Rumor is my local provider may be testing the Arris 6 tuner multiroom DVR. It has the Moxi HD UI, Moca client boxes for other rooms and the main box can do phone, Internet (DOCSIS 3) and TV all in one. If that does come out I will seriously consider switching since their only real Achilles heel right now is crappy featureless I-guide. I could get more HD's and save money with triple play bundling at the same time. It would cost about $160 for TV, Internet and phone. Right now I pay $125 to directv and $87 to the cable company for Internet and phone. I have two boxes with directv, HBO & Showtime and the package right under the one that includes the Encore channels. It's getting pricey considering a bundle would cost less and provide all those missing HD's.
