I don't want it either. Do we have to go through all of these one at a time?. Going to be a long thread if we do.

If you don't like a particular channel that's fine. However, this thread's about Anticipating what you'd like to see; not to bashing others viewing choices.

This thread usually gets a lot of lattitude but let's not make it personal. Discuss the topic and...well you know. :)

Does anybody have a time frame to when they will add the 3 testing HD channels? All I care about is Galavision HD even though there's nothing worth watching. and "soon" is not the answer I'm looking for :)

Every channel I don't tune to is rubbish, and every channel I watch is fabulous, must have, and you must like it, too. Or if you don't, you have no taste, no discernment, no judgement.

There, I am trying to underline Mike's point by stretching to the absurd....

I really wish FXM was in HD. I saw the FXM bug in the lower right morph into Available in HD FXMHD. I thought to myself, yeah right... HD my a$$. Then the logo slid back into the FXM logo.

Lots of movies on there and I think Movies should be required in HD.

How about something about all the shows not on HD. Beside King on Reelz I have no idea what shows might be worth watching.

We never know anything until it happens unless one of the parties involved makes an anouncement. We only know that the channels are in test mode because Sixto can see what is being tested. Some channels have been in test mode for as little as a week. Others, like ION, were in test for more than a month before going live. At one point QVC HD was in test on Dish, but it was never launched and the test mode has been removed. Historically, most channels went live on Wednesday at 0600 Eastern Time, but this is not an absolute, either.

The only other way to get an early idea is to look at the scheduler on the iPhone app. The HD channel usually shows up in the guide a few days before the channel goes live.

Bottom line is that it will be in HD when it is in HD. We will not know when that will be unless the channel or DirecTV makes an anouncement, but I cannot remember them making such an anouncement with a specific date in the past/

    THE PIVOT CHANNEL

The new Pivot Channel begins operations on August 1. It is a channel aimed at the Millennial generation. Early reports said DirectTv will host the channel. So perhaps one of the test channels will be that channel. Since it begins soon and Directv has signed on to it, I would imagine testing has to have begun.

The new Esquire channel also begins in August. I wonder if Directv will host that channel as well.

Does SR or anyone else have info on this?

    Thanks,

    Mike Ruggeri

Is there any word then that the new channel will be in HD? The Doc Channel is in SD of course.

If I was Directv I would remove those 3 testing channels and replace with FXM,Fuse,Military.

So it looks like there is an ongoing shuffling of channel numbers in the 55x range? Anybody have some ideas what that's about?

Tweet tonight from @DirectvService We are all set. As FOX Sports 1 is a re-brand of the Speed channel, it will replace it in our lineup, on channel 607.

I know it's a re-brand, but I hadn't read where Directv has confirmed they will carry FOX Sports 1. Has it been confirmed?

Not that i had heard anywhere. This is a big deal for PAC-12 people without the pac12 network.

I hope so ... I'd hate to see a Tweet based on an assumption of carriage - and I have not seen a confirmation of a deal.
