    English Premier League final match day of the season on May 14, 2014, every game will be shown live on an NBC Universal channel, from NBC to Esquire and Syfy.

    IF NBC can use esquire for EPL will they try to put any more sports on it? if so Directv will need to add it.

    also the Premier League Extra Time over flow feeds (Now they can have them all in HD while comcast systems are not likely to have them in HD)

    It's coming. On 1 October 12 Philip J. Goswitz, DirecTV Senior Vice President for Space and Communications announced in 2016 all SD channels will be converted to HD using local-into-local Ka-Band capacity.

    Which statement still never completely made sense;

    Unless he actually meant "national" or "CONUS" Ka-Band capacity at the time, and not LiL.

    What is Esquire channel? I've never heard of it before. New? Is it old and I'm just behind the times?

    replacing g4

    And this is why some were upset in Directv not bringing back G4, just to see another tabloid crap channel.

    I'll take FMC/FXM (or whatever the heck they end up doing) and Sundance, please.

    And I'd still like CSpan1&2 and NASA in HD, but not in a particular hurry about it.

    NWCN does not have an OTA subchannel (at least in the Seattle area), although it would make sense for them to do so.

    Oxygen, Fuse, We, Logo, FXM and if they bring both PBS Sprout and Style in HD, I would have a reason to upgrade my package and pay DirecTV the extra $7 / month or whatever it costs to move up a level.

    I'm sure there is better than qvc, I'm also betting that QVC is probably one of the most watched channels and I'm also betting that most cable companies already carry QVC in HD, it may not be popular on this forum but this forum is a small minority of Directv subscribers. My mother watches QVC all the time and has been watching it in HD on her cable for years, she just switched to D and can't stand watching QVC in SD.

    I watch QVC all the time in SD. The hosts are top notch and fun. However HSN hosts seem to be barkers yelling. I would like QVC in HD.

    I agree that QVC is much better than HSN (or any of the other shopping channels, for that matter, but I would rather see all of the sports channels, all of the movie channels and all of the children's channels in HD before any of the shopping channels, religious channels, or CSPAN. After D14 is on-line, then everything should move to HD, but until then, there are limitations.

    FXM.

    I tried watching a movie on there the other night and it was not good. It was LB format and made it about 10 to 12 inches smaller than my TV screen.
    A secondary negative about SD channels is that they do not supply Dolby Digital sound.
