Interesting that the NFL test channels are x4xx rather than x7xx. Wonder if it means anything.
golf is useing the 700 used for NFL right now.
Those are just the internal channels, they move around, still expecting the 7xx for the regular channels.
I know they are internals. Just odd. If am moving channels from a 9XXX range to a non 9XXX range, I would keep the XXX the same just to keep easier track of things.
It looks like 164 and 165 have not been active for a while. They are hard to keep track of. Perhaps an audit is in order (for those who like to count).
DirecTV's PPV channel numbers are inconsistent and really hard to keep track of when it comes to what's actually new vs what's just a channel that moved unless you dive down to the transponder and VPID level by looking at the sheets week to week. However when they have one of their frequent transponder shuffles/rebalances like they did about 2 months ago on the 101 satellite all bets are off on what went where bandwidth wise.
164 and 165 used to be SD PPV channels which were moved up to the gaps in the higher numbers a few weeks ago. They also took down a SD PPV channel to make room for QVC Plus. Several of the HD PPV and SD PPV channels are also just seasonal filler until they need more than the usual amount of part time feeds for things like Sunday Ticket, NCAA, bonus out of market sports feeds, and some of the RSN plus/overflow channels that are only in use the few times of the year when MLB, NHL, NBA and MLS are all in action.
So i read on a satellite of directv talk website that espn deportes hd goin live on sept 2, i dont know how real this but if anyone can confirm will really appreciate it
Could you please post the link,I would like to check this out. Thanks
Check in the middle of the page
You do know that is a DISH Network site and they know little about Directv?
Thanks, hopefully it will show up sooner as we need these HD and a few more SD channels in the Spanish Package...
1. ESPN Deportes HD
2. Fox Deportes HD
3. Telemundo East HD CH#406
4. GOLTV HD
5. Estrella TV (SD)
6. Sorpresa (SD)
7. DE Pelicula (SD)
8. DE Pelicula Clasico (SD)
9. Cine Mexico (SD)
10. Viendo Movies (SD)
The top three are the most important to get added due to their national audience and content, the rest would just add value to the Spanish package as these channels are popular on other Cable/Sat systems and especially to the Latino community.
I mean they were always accurate for other hd channels on the dates and on september 2 fox soccer channel is turning into FXX so maybe theyll also add espn deportes hd
Doctor J or Satracer are probably the only two here that would possibly know anything in regards to when espndep hd goes live...
PM one of them and try to squeeze em for some info.Slip em a 20 under the door if need be. :money:
Do you have any thoughts about nuvoTV HD?
Not bad,it cant be any more worse than a couple of the boring ones we have now.
Mundo Fox is another one that should be added and I think its in HD as well.
Directv has mundofox ?? I dont see it
It's a broadcast network so only the markets that have a local affiliate who has an agreement with DirecTV get it as part of their locals, some of which get it in HD. I'm not sure if Fox even offers it as a national feed for cable and satellite providers.
As for ESPN Deportes HD, you'll be seeing it sooner than later, most likely before September 2nd. (I don't know if it's okay to post a specific date yet)
