Just sucks that I never got to see Best Ink in HD. That show is on Oxygen.

I don't have Style or Sprout because that's in the next package up. I'm not upgrading until they are in HD. Not gonna pay for SD. 8 month old daughter seems to pay attention to Sprout HD at my dads house with cable.

The wife would watch Style in HD. Hey DirecTV's loss. Not in HD, not up selling me the next package up.

It does not matter what Paul watches. Whatever the channel is, many people will say it is garbage ;)

Reelz is a must on this list since they started showing King.

Exactly ... on anyone's list of favorite channels (including mine) there are channels that someone else is going to consider complete garbage. The list does not need to be named to know that. We have seen it over and over in these threads. One man's trash is another man's treasure.

Which is why we (and perhaps this can be a reminder) discourage calling each other's favorite channel's garbage. While no one is required to be happy that DirecTV is adding a channel that they personally do not like instead of a channel that they want, name calling does not seem to further the conversation. Perhaps instead of "that channel is garbage" the issue could be expressed as "I would prefer DirecTV add Chiller" or GSN or whatever personal favorite one feels is being slighted.

Try to keep the the thread positive ... "channels I anticipate" not "channels I hate". :D

    Just new channels.

Heck, we talk about channels (like PAC 12) that directv doesn't have. Not just the ones they have only in SD.

What is the correct channel for qvc, not the mirrored ones but the actual original correct number for qvc, I'm trying to keep all the originals on my guide and get rid of all the mirrored?

At one point 317 had a message saying QVC is moving to 275 but about two weeks later the message was removed and QVC remained in both slots. More recently QVC appeared on channel 70 grouped with mirrors of some of the other channels that pay DirecTV. The entry for 275 is the only one that just says QVC, 70 and 317 have the channel number next to the name like many of the other mirrors.

It's up to you which one you want to see. If you rarely watch any of the paying channels, you're better off leaving them in the 70s so you don't pass by them as you're channel surfing the general entertainment channels in the 200s and 300s, if you're one of those who occasionally watch if you spot something that interests you while you're flipping channels, leave 275 or 317 in the guide.
