He's wanting CW HD-DNS. Many markets only have the CW on a sub-channel.

I can get reception from broadcast channels in three markets (really four, but reliably, three). While I can get The CW from TWO markets, only one of them is reliable, and none of them is in HD. Luckily, DirecTV imported a CW in HD into my market when my locals launched since we don't have a CW affiliate. Sadly, it's not DD5.1, but at least it's in HD... something that I would not be able to get OTA with an AM21.

Disappointing, but since the hints we have regarding the addition(s) don't appear to be either BBC America, AMC, or TCM, I won't :icon_cry: about it.

I had all 4 tuners busy here tonight at 9pm CST so I fired up my Time Warner HD-DVR and was channel surfing. I came to the moderately requested TruTV HD. I was sad to see they stretch the content like new episodes of "Rehab: Party at the Hard Rock Hotel."

    I think BBCA is incoming.

The DTV twitter replies are actually very diagnostic if you read then enough to get a sense of the different verbage they use. It ranges from "no plans", to "no news at this time" to "We are working to get this channel in HD for you. No new information as of yet. Stay tune to directv.com for updates." which is their latest BBCA reply.

This is very positive language and an upgrade from a month or so ago. I smell Top Gear.

I think the only reason many of us want TruTv is for March when they get part of the NCAA tournament. As long as D* has it by then I'll be happy, can't think of anything else I have really watched on TruTv.

I used to watch it a lot (they have some good crime shows like Forensic Files) but since the SD PQ on D* is so terrible I quit.

You posted it on an Internet forum. Makes it public. Makes it open for comment. Odd that a man so worried about financial privacy would not understand that posting on an Internet board negates some of your personal privacy.

thanks sat, but I have to say, this is really getting ridiculous. Not directed at you, just D*, and I have to say, just about time to jump ship.

I agree, especially when the provider that can't get along, is getting right along with additions of many good channels.

It's a fake holiday from an episode of Seinfeld. We use it here because whenever HD channels are added there's always a group of people that complain because they didn't get the channels they wanted ("the airing of grievances").

It happened a few times this year. Some were big and some were small and a lot of people were disappointed.

I really don't care when it happens if, as you suggested, my plain "Total Choice" package isn't getting more HD this time.

    VERY positive news! :)

Though as always, the "Stay tune(d) to directv.com for updates" is a joke...
