    I’d be ok with it.

Any HD addition is a good thing. But, I do understand what you’re saying. Pentagon in HD would be a good thing. AMC, BBCA, Nat Geo Wild, E!, Cooking or History International would be a great thing in HD.

Mono. (Sorry, though remember quality.) :)

But DIRECTV is always negotiating and there might be time to sneak another one in, though that is getting less and less likely. And in a rare occasion of speaking plainly, I do not know of anything close, just hope springs eternal.

    Cheers,
    Tom

Even if it's BBCA & AMC, then people will still complain. Like me...I hope BBCA HD is never launched. Doctor Who? More like Doctor Who Cares? :eek2:

I'm just kidding. I'm a person who doesn't care what's added, as long as we're getting additions. I respect the fact that everyone has different wants and tastes.

Yeah, if we’re only getting one, AMCHD would be the odds on favorite.

Forgot about Quality. AMC-HD and QVC-HD.

    My final guess is BBCAHD

You mean quality as in Quality, Value, Convenience?

    :(

Pentagon Channel HD was announced MONTHS ago and is hardly a secret. It was all over the news that Pentagon Channel was going HD, and would be launched on DirecTV.

If that is the only channel being launched, and the only answer to the riddle.... this playing around is really a waste of time.

BUT.... it IS a Basic channel. So there, DirecTV is indeed adding Basic. :D

Since it's only one channel, and they've recently signed a deal with Cablevision my guess will be BBC America.

I've got to believe now that Rainbow spun off the channels to a new company AMC Networks, they are going to want to sign carriage deals for all of their networks together now.

You're missing the negative. :) Hints can exclude as well as include. :)

(As well as the hint that a new channel has no history to determine if it has quality or not.) :)

    Cheers,
    Tom

    My guess is AMC.
It was ommitted on the Channel surveys because DirecTV already had plans to add it anyway.

There's even FAQ's on DirecTV's website "Does DirecTV offer AMC in HD?" There's no FAQ worded like that for other HD channels. So it's important enough that an FAQ entry was added.

Great quality series such as The Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, Mad Men , right?

Tom said Quality. The C in AMC stands for Classics. Despite how AMC veered away from true classics (like TCM), Classics are usually highly regarded for their quality.

Either way if I'm wrong and say it's BBCA... I'd be happy. DIY would be nice too but I don't think that's it.

I'd love to know right now what it is, but hey this game is fun. Plus when as a kid if you found your Christmas or birthday presents and knew what you were getting ahead of time it ruined the surprise!

    History International HD coming up?

I can live with that :)

But that means probably NO BBC America.....again. :D

I've excluded all shopping channels from my consideration of being a basic. Others are welcome to think of them that way, but I don't. :)

    Cheers,
    Tom

    History International or Pentagon.

Now I’m really lost. I’d like to buy a vowel.

We are one week away from the "potential" test launch.

Tom, since you are playing the game.... are you even allowed to reveal anything BEFORE the test? I mean that would be what it is all about, if it was 100% certain nobody can release any information before test goes live, we don't have to play the riddle, we would just wait and see what Sixto's scans revealed.

I guess what I am asking is.... WHEN are you allowed to reveal information? 1 day before test? 2 days before test? Or maybe..... a WEEK before test! :D :D

My guess, Sixto gets to break the news.
