I don't think so. The HD GUI first look has all the information, no need for any CEr leaking. Don't forget that is very possible we have CEr working for the press since it's available to everybody.

I see your point. I'm now a little conflicted on it. However, I'm glad we're getting AMC HD.

Reminder, the CE discussions are all meant to stay in the CE area.

    Thanks,
    Tom

BBCA also carries Law & Order: UK. Seeing this show in HD would be nice.

Hopefully some more national HD (non-premium) is soon to follow after AMCHD goes live soon.

Sorry then about the post from Endgadget. Since it said that all the testers are getting a much higher quality picture, I thought that would be good for HD anticipation. Certainly, that is good news for HD anticipation.

And a new series of very good programs is running on Wednesday nights. The first mini-series is The Hour to be followed by Luther and more after that. These would be better in HD.

Okay nice to see AMC HD. But think the clues were very misleading.

Since I've never heard anyone complain about HR24 performance, should I assume this seems to mean relief for those of us with older DVR models? That'd be nice. . .

Which set? The first set were only about the date and quantity. (and hinting that there was only one channel of high quality.)

The second set was working toward the final reveal. After all, I can't give it away with the first clue, can I?

    Cheers,
    Tom

I expect there will be AMC VOD HD but I also do not expect it on day one. HD VOD takes time to setup.

    Cheers,
    Tom

DirecTV shouldn't drop any channels. Ones you would "happily" lose would make others unhappy.

You do realize that some will suggest channels you like to be dropped.

Hope that channels get added, not dropped.

Anyone have any idea why TCM is taking so long for us to get in HD?
    That's my numero uno.

No hints or whispers. Generally I assume it is part of the negotiation process for the highly desired channels.

    Cheers,

Was that announced as HD? Maybe TruTV is next.
