PLEASE tell me you do not really believe AMCHD had anything to do with that, and that you are just kidding around?

This news from MARCH 2011 has already been marked as obsolete by Satelliteracer, who has said it would be "more likely within the next 18 months", which, counted from March 2011, would take us to September 2012.

Also, news sources have said that the Pentagon channel would launch in September. And of course.... it is now November. ;)

You, as a free citizen of this nation, of course have the right to anticipate all you want. But it is very likely that the comments of Satelliteracer regarding TruTV have more truth to them then the SBJ article.

That said, I do anticipate TruTV HD to become available BEFORE the next March Madness, so some time late February.

I'm still HOPING for BBC America in HD.... but not Anticipating it this year. And I hope I am wrong on that, and we will get a christmas prezzie! Oh, the Doctor Who Christmas Special will be coming up I think. :) (If they do one this year).

AMC HD was a great addition, indeed.

But not the cause of the 327.000 added subscribers in Q3.

The cause of D* adding so many is subs likely has more to do with great marketing, a strong referral program as well as great technology. Also people realize that D* is the preferred satellite provider. Dish is more for trailer folk.

I have to admit... I referred 2 people. I get $20 off a month now. Why not!

Fantastic program that benefits both DirecTV and the customer.

No reason to add anything new since Directv did so well in Q3. No reason to come back here either, see you in Q1 2012.

I wouldn't mind seeing Fuse, IFC and We all added in HD. Since we now have AMC in HD, and at AMC Networks high compression bandwidth savings, I'm sure those could fit.

When is the question I guess... not If.

But I have to agree with others. I don't forsee anything else for 2011. I think the big shift in focus is getting the HDUI out, streaming for the ipad and desktops and beefing up VOD while also enabling that content to be streamed on the ipad or online. I would also like to see DirecTV2PC updated with the new HD UI look and feel to it.

    ...- .....
With the announcement of D10's possible future failure. I don't think they will be adding any additional HD. Any statement posted prior to this about future HD programming will have changed. This won't change until early 2014 when D14 is launched and parked.

D14 is currently scheduled for launch during the first quarter of 2014, so it's more likely that customers would see programming going live from there closer to mid-year. So roughly 2 1/2 years from now...

If bandwidth is a problem status quo is ok with me rather than hd lite.

Bandwidth isn't an issue though. Just take down 10-15 PPV channels. All NFLST needs is what like 20 right but usually they only use about 15? MLBEI, NHLCI and NBALP are mostly RSN remaps so I don't see the need for 50 PPVs except to line to pockets of D*. Correct me if I'm wrong, I was never good at math.

Occupy Imperial Highway!!! We are the < .00099 %!!!! We want more basic HD and less PPV!!! :D

I was hoping I would see CSN Philly on D* in time for the holidays. But now I wonder how bad the prospects are for any remaining HD channels due to recent developments.

Any ideas what could be done on the interim aside from making D* Cinema to online only?

Two years will be a long time without anything new.

Wow it seemed like years ago that I was up late on these threads, in anticipation of DTV rolling out the HD feeds of CNN, The Weather Channel, and tons of other channels I hardly watched anyways...

Oh wait it WAS years and years ago!!

I remember staying up late (like 3-4 AM local time) for them to turn on the HD feeds of all these channels just so I can see the channels fill my screen. Now it seems like EVERY channel I watch is on HD so I don't really notice anymore.

Well... the one channel I would REALLY love an HD feed.... H2 (History Int'l formerly)... I love "The Universe" and have watched every episode. Apparently they don't show it on History HD, only on H2 now... and it looks ugly in SD. :(

So my ONLY request is for H2!! :D

Let's all pray that the NBA stays out for about 3 years. That should help with bandwith.
