Nobody commenting? Everyone's at work?!
I'm actually at home..watching TV...Lower Manhattan is without power still so I cannot goto work (yet) ..I live in Northern Manhattan...not affected by the storm or power issues..
Ive worked the Bar everyday since the hurricane hit..hiccup..
Haven't looked yet. Am I to take it there's a lot more Hi Definition Video On Demand this morning?
Several HD channels got HD VOD, and several SD channels got HD VOD.
coolman302003 will need to do some updating!
I'm one for three...
I was just playing in the Guide before work this morning and noticed the addition of some to one channel, and then did a quick browse through the list to find additional channels/content.
I also noticed the shutting down of one VOD channel and the beginning of another VOD channel.
Any specific titles? I didn't look through all 10,000, but didn't see a one that's 1080p and free.
Also, the website is difficult to get that info re resolution or PPV.
I don't know what package the server thinks I don't have: I have all of them, I thought, except Spanish channels.
This is a bug that's affecting me as well...
Is the season of Bomb Girls up, yet?
you forgot they added history 2 on demand in hd also, sure would be nice if they could add the premium movie channels in 3d like twc has history 2 is 1271
I don't know... didn't check. Perhaps they'll put S1 up if they air S2...
BINGO!! We have one new addition mentioned...
Don't see it in HD or SD.
Nice! Now if we can only get the H2 channel in HD we'll be all set.
NEW HD VOD content:
1253 LMN (New VOD channel, ALL content is HD)
1271 H2 (New VOD channel, ALL content is HD)
1885 Nick@Nite (1 show, New VOD channel)
HD VOD content NO longer available:
[strike]1245 TNT[/strike] (was only 1 title before, probably expired)
VOD NO longer available:
[strike]1803 Film Festival[/strike] (No Longer in service message)
2 episodes in HD now! (S2E3&4)
Did you follow the link in my post?
This direct link (notice it says 1080p&ppv=false at the end) --> http://www.directv.com/entertainment/browse/on_demand/?format=1080p&ppv=false <-- should take you to a list of only 100 titles, you might have to be signed out of the D* account or clear cookies, but when I view that link I see 100 titles and then I can use Smart Search on the DVR to begin downloading them; usually if your signed in it thinks you don't have access to these but they are indeed free 1080p/24 content from MGM.
I normally just look through the website and find a title then Search and begin downloading directly on the DVR, you can also find them on Channel 1100 but you have to page through tons of other Non free content since you can't filter only 1080p & Free on the DVR directly.
EDIT: I think I understand now what your saying Laxguy, you can't set a remote download of these via the website/smartphone apps because it thinks you don't receive them as part of your programming package, however when you search directly for one of the specific titles on the HD/DVR then press [Record] it will add the movie to your playlist (displaying ch 1000 MGM as the source) and begin downloading, then you can watch the movie free and in 1080p HD resolution.
Thanks, Cool. I think I'll get to it later tonight....
Help stamp out gratuitous apostrophe's and exclamation point's!!!
Wife downloaded the HD movie on LMN VOD (1hr 27min) it completely finished in 25 minutes on our 30Mbps connection, that's some of the fastest VOD download speeds we have ever had I think. Picture quality honestly looks a little soft (that maybe why it downloaded so quick?), it's probably more like LMN HD on Dish (we have both D* & E*). Regardless, it looks loads better then the SD linear channel on D*...
Hopefully all new HiC and HD episodes (premiering 11/28/2012) will be available the same week via HD VOD if TV Land HD isn't added prior to then.
Nick@Nite's 1 HD episode of "See Dad Run" (really bad show, BTW) when I looked was rather weird, as I thought Nick's VOD channel had more episodes than that. I don't know if it's been filled out any more yet, but it probably will be shortly.
I'm hoping the same. Reels has added Wirld Without End very quickly.
Well, not quite. They added the first 4 episodes, but now it is down to episode 3 and 4, so they dropped the first two and haven't added any new episodes.
I have episodes 5 and 6 on my playlist. And I see 8??? is available now.
Yes, 1 and 2 rolled off as will all eventually. 5 and 6 are good until 11/14
