If MHz Worldview ever goes HD, it would be a good addition as well. I wish the existing SD channel was moved from 95 to one of the core satellites.

I do too. I already have a (free of charge) 5-LNB setup because of some music channels I wanted and could not receive because they were placed on a satellite with mostly Spanish programming.... (the Irish music channel for one), but I think since then they have moved the music channels.

But with this setup I still can't receive the MHz Worldview channel. It seems to be on yet-another-satellite, that is beyond my reach. Perhaps you would have to sign up to an Asian international package or so to get that channel. I don't quite get why that channel is barred from so many viewers.

One good thing though: The channel is available free of charge online. In SD of course, not super-great quality.... but it'll do.

They didn't move them. Rat Pack, Holidays & Happenings, Groove Lounge, Jazz, Metro Blend, Great Standards, PUMP!, Piano, Fiesta Tropical, Regional Mexican, Mariachi, Carnival Brasileiro, Familiar Favorites, Italian Bistro Blend, Italian Contemporary, Irish and Tranquility are all still on 119

Ah. Well I enjoy the Tranquility and Irish channels from time to time, and needed a 5-LNB setup to receive them in 2010. Since these channels were part of Choice Ultimate, and thus I was paying for them, they gave me a free upgrade. About a week after I called a guy showed up to give me a "Spanish Dish" because 99% of people wanting access to 119 in this region.... aren't doing so because of Leprechauns on Guitars. :D

Maybe we might at least get HD on demand content from it sometime, reelz channel is owned by the same company (Hubbard broadcasting) as ovation and we have it HD on demand now. :)

    Bainbridge...
It's also available on Roku and as a subchannel on several OTA stations (on the local one here, the quality is even worse than Directy SD if such a thing is possible). There are some good subtitled mysteries, among other things. Especially the Swedish mysteries "Beck" and "Wallander".

[OT]I found season 2 of the Swedish version of "Wallander" on Netflix and it is much better than the BBC/PBS version.[/OT]

Everything I watch is in HD, so always quiet on my end, other then checking for new stuff each morning.

Most of us just subscribe to The Sixto Report and wait for the next edition to come out.

TNN shows as an HD channel, in a couple of locations on C Band, so it would be a good idea to add this channel, if possible. The only issue, is that it's owned by Luken and they can aren't the most stable sat company around.

From what I've seen locally, the Rochester, NY affiliate seems to show the whole lineup. Now I can't vouch for the middle of the night, but daytime and primetime is not interupted. The one in Syracuse, NY, is a different story, as it seems interupted half of the time, with blocks of newscasts and infomercials in the wee hours of the morning.

And I don't anticipate anything in December, so nothing to talk about.

    Yep;

Outside of Puerto Rico getting a bunch of new HD channels as it officially joined the DIRECTV USA network on 11/29, there's not much else to talk about in the area of new prospective HD channel additions.

    Yep!

I'm personally also in the boat where there's only a couple of channels I'm anxiously awaiting... and I'm lucky enough to have one of them with HD VOD now. There's some others I'd like to have, but I'll take them as they come. :)

I had previously stated that I am now predominantly focused on getting my locals improved. As of Wednesday, I now have the local ABC in HD (which has apparently resulted in some technical issues with my locals), and I'm hoping for a quick launch of The CW once it launches it's HD feed. After the first of the year, I may try harder to see if I can get a couple of SV channels added to my location as well.

I'm also in the situation where I've been VERY busy with work stuff, home stuff, etc, so... yeah... that too.

Since there is no programming scheduled anytime in the near future, I'm back to "anticipating" Fox Soccer Plus HD.

SatelliteRacer, do you have information on why the HD programming has disappeared?

The CSR's have no info at all.

I've cancelled the channel until HD returns.

No... he was referring to a feature coming regarding Starz/Encore.

The lack of discussion should imply we don't! ;)
