There probably will not be anything new until the new satellite launches.
Time Warner apparently has exclusivity on it for now.
Charter's all digital markets have Military Channel HD. CenturyLink Prism, Cincinnati Bell FiOptics, Click! TV in Tacoma, WA, and Antietam Cable in MD all have Military Channel HD.
This may be the dullest quarter ever.
So it looks like WILW in NYC has launched an HD feed. I received the following email from their Viewer Relations Dept:
"Thank for your inquiry regarding WLIW's transition to HD.
We don't know whether DirecTV will provide WLIW21 HD to their subscribers -- you will need to contact them directly . . ..
I hope this will be helpful.

I sent an email to DirecTV and, not surprisingly, didn't get a response. I wonder if we'll be getting this?
Hope we'll see more new HD this year, but it doesn't look promising.
Sorry for delay fighting a nasty cold. Newer shows are 720p. I am enjoying their assortment. Some can be found on Netflix and Amazon but they have the latest Vera (Series 3) and Doc Martin (Series 6) in addition to all the Poriot episodes.
That would be 2011.
Being on a spot bean, how are Locals switch from SD to HD on DirecTV, when the local switches to HD?
They are not "switched" on DirecTV. DirecTV will continue to offer a SD version, and they might or might not add the HD version.
I do believe DIRECTV is taking whatever Hi Definition signal they are given and converting it to sd if the station is not giving them an sd feed. I don't think they had taken away one sd station when a channel has moved to Hi Definition.
Oooh, I knew it was 2014, but didn't realize it was early 2014. Of course there will then be the typical period of angst while it maneuvers into position and tests while all and sundry fuss and fret, and certain non-DirecTV fans do all they can to up the angst level until it is declared operational.
Now don't be so harsh!
Universal Sports On Demand is now available on channel 1625, with some content available in HD
My local cable company (Cox) is adding GSN HD. Its sad that the company that partially owns the channel will be adding it last.
Some one higher up than Ms. Conklin would have a good idea; it's not up to DIRECTV only! I guess scouring local newsgroups and websites for discussion on this might yield some info- at least rumor!
i get this in hd on my cable. rapidly becoming a huge fan. love their programming. hope dtv adds this in hd next year!
