The Korean channel MBC Drama HD is coming December 17th on channel 385, it will be a $9.99 a month premium channel and will not be part of any base packages.

They should now consider MeTV HD, since it now has a High Definition feed.

Since METV now has a separate HD feed would that no longer be considered a separate HD sub-channel? Would it be now like a national HD feed?

METV is the primary channel on several stations across the country.

Since local channels have bought the rights to MeTV for their DMA, it is unlikely that DirecTV could show MeTV except as a local. Some local channels have MeTV as their primary channel, and I suspect those will be carried in HD, but many local channels have MeTV as a sub-channel, and DirecTV does not carry the sub-channels.

I wish DirecTV would carry military history HD and according to their Wikipedia page it is available in HD

What about ION? Wouldn't the same situation exist? ION is a local channel across much of the nation, yet to go HD since all the feeds are the same, they added it nationally on 305 and mapped over the local equivalent number as well.

Wikipedia is wrong, Military History along with its sister stations Lifetime Real Women and History en Espanol are all SD only.

The difference is Ion owns all of their broadcast stations

ION is different, because the network owns most, if not all, of the local stations that show them.

The other day when I was watching The History Channel it said that the military history was in HD because it showed a preview of a show that was coming to that channel and it said that if you don't get military history HD to call your local cable or satellite provider today and ask them to add it to your lineup

You must have misherd the promo, they don't have any HD feed available to launch:
    AETN.png

The only new HD feeds they launched recently were West Coast HD feeds for FYI, H2 and LMN

You would think they would launch one due to the fact that they're losing one of their channels History Channel's

    ...- .....
Without checking, I would swear that that network was shown OTA locally on channel 25-9 (or something like that).

According to this link http://www.avsforum.com/forum/34-hdtv-programming/1721930-official-avs-national-hd-channel-lineups-cable-dbs-fiber-iptv-updated-05-15-15-a.html American History Channel is available in HD from ATT, Charter, Bright House, Google and Century Link. I used my old zip code and ATT Uverse does have it. https://www.att.com/channellineup/u-verse/channel-lineup.jsp?locale=en_US&mode=&flag=&zipcode=30084&custSubType=Residential&_requestid=34771 Even if much of the programming is in standard definition, the picture from an HD feed would be better than the low bitrate crap they show on DirecTV now.
