I used to think UVerseTV included the channels in the DTV Movies Extra pack in some of their channel packages without an extra fee but they also have their own HD Premium Pack for $7 a month and you also need to have their $10 HD Technology Fee.

The only channels UVerseTV includes in some of their channel packages with no extra fee is Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, Crime and Investigation.

The ones in their HD Premium Pack are Sony Movies, MGM, Smithsonian, HD Net Movies, Shorts and Palladia are in their HD Premium Tier.

Palladia hasn't existed in a long time. It's MTV Live now.

Going it alone instead of getting a basketball or hockey team to provide a reason for people to want it the other six months of the year is probably not smart. Too easy for people to switch out of a package that includes it during those months or drop RSNs if the provider allows it (which will only become more common as the price continues to escalate)

well the other teams reuped with comcast / nbc. The blackhawks where the only really choice to join up with the cubs. and do they really want to take the risk of being on an RSN with no coverage?

In market RSNs are a monthly add on for commercial customers, anyone who carried this for the Cubs will drop it from October through March so they'll only get half the revenue they think they will from them.

But the cubs zone has so much over lap the commercial customers may not be willing to give up other teams for that.
