Very possible. Part-time channels can happen at any time.

Also, based on not yet seeing future guide changes for an Olympic's Mix channel, maybe there's still more to come.

    daytona...

i wondered the same thing when i saw that..

also, sixto, i didn't get the impression there was a seperate olympics mix. maybe, i read wrong but it sounded like those channels would be on the sports mix channel.

Either they'll need an Olympics HD Mix or put the Sports Mix in HD part-time.

Lots of speculation but no real guide or stream or Satracer hints yet. Maybe the new stuff is just part-time (until D12). We'll see ...

This would be good as UEFA Champion's League starts Monday, Feb. 10. The Europa League games are in the guide in the 460s.

Good thing it wasn't up yesterday. Even HD wouldn't have made the Gunners look and better against Drogba and the Blues.

    Not to me.:)

It appears that D* still has no interest whatsoever in your personal opinion on what constitutes bandwidth worthiness.

    What bandwidth ?
Tpn = 0, PID = 0 that means no signal AT ALL !

But, you can continue sleeping ... :D

Exactly, they are part time, so for 6 hrs on a Sunday, they take the spot of a PPV movie channel.

    This is somewhat interesting.

The Olympics (at least) needs a Sports Mix that's in HD, which needs some CINEHD bandwidth, which hasn't shown itself yet.

Usually it would be obvious by now.

    Interesting. Hmmm. :)

I apologize. The person who stated the information, said that *D is still in "talks". I'm mad too!

Does it actually say anywhere that the Olympics Sports Mix would be in HD?

I'm thinking Direct TV's whole 'Olympic' destination theme is more spin than anything else. No dedicated channels, no MSNBC HD, just altering the regular Sports Mix a bit.

That's a good question. I assumed yes, but now re-thinking it.

I'm thinking that too. Dish Network has 4 Olympic HD channels cooking, not sure if they are re-maps or special channels from NBC Universal
