Directv HR34 Genie DVR. record ?

    I meant theses are two seperate questions 1. 8 X 24 = 192 hours without watching any episodes from Sept. to May yes





    2 on the Directv Genie HR34-700 with HD-GUIDE dose it say on the guide if the show is New like it dose on a regular TIVO or Fios DVR ?

    The Direct TV guide shows original air date which helps your series links distinguish between new and rerun. The problem you will run into is with channels that pick up programming from Canada and Britain. Those will show the original air date from their native countries, not the original US air date.

    It's in the info on a show.

    Just set the unit to record first run and after the first time it records it will only record the first airings and no repeated. You will be fine.

    I set the unit to record first run and after the first time it records it will only record the first airings and no repeated. You will be fine. I tryed it what it is doing is repeating episodes which are only first run and sometimes new episodes do not record all

    Playlist shows % of space remaining. Bottom right corner.

    I have 150 hours recorded and meter shows 40% space remaining.

    Curtis0620 I recorded on the meter 16 shows 94% space remaining dose it seem it is eating space up if I recorder 192 hours of hd without watching any episodes from Sept. to May will it fill up before May want it eat up space fast like it seems it is ?

    at that same ratio you can record 267 shows.
